Where'd my charge go? My 24 flash has been parked in my garage since Feb 13. Somehow since that date it went from 32% to 16% (and increased 0.3 miles on odo). We did have a cold spell in Florida, it got down to 28 outside for several hours 3 or 4 days, I doubt it was that cold in the garage. Does the truck activate hvb heater below a certain temp by itself? What if the truck is in low power mode?

No idea why it would have lost 16% in this situation.

At most if you left the departure timer active while away, it would have only run twice before aging out, and you would have only lost 1-3%. The PTC will only activate for cabin warming while the truck is unplugged.

How is the available power to the motors, is it still 100%?

That looks normal given the low SOC, charge her up to your normal high point then evaluate again.

I agree, charge up and check, only thing I can think of is that the 12v is on the fringe. So its wasting energy just keeping it topped up, but then you'd have the only Lightning that actually tops up like it's supposed to so
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As far as the 0.3 miles goes, you have them install the rollaway recall yet? 😂

Left gauge shows 89%
Oh, I thought you knew of a way or indicator that separates out power availability. I still don’t understand how to read the temperature on the battery and motor, my gauge doesn’t look like it ever moves!

Power available is shown separately. It’s the left side of the circle that shows 89%. The SOC is on the right at 16%. Your temperature gauges may not have ever moved off of the middle. They only move in extremes so unless you’re living with below zero temperatures or DC charging on a really hot day they will stay in the middle. I’ve only ever seen mine move once in the 3+ years with the truck.

They could damn near be painted there. In a year I have seen the battery temp gauge above the midpoint only once and it was almost 100 degrees outside, and I had just completed a second SuperCharge session of the day (22 - 90%), and then I hopped on the freeway headed up a hill. Definitely a torture test.

DCFC and waking after a deep sleep are the only times my temp gauges have ever moved. And I'm not sure why the deep sleep one is a thing, maybe the thermistor heats a little when the current is applied?

My concern is where did 16% of charge go. Tbh I don't know if I put it in gear once or twice between Feb 13 and today, almost positive it didn't travel more than a foot or 2. I recall planning on driving it once but noted that the charge was low 27% and deciding not to take it for a 60 mile trip. It's been a while since I last charged it to 100% to balance the cells. I rarely drive much more than 30 miles round trip and don't drive it more than a couple times a month. Looking back I realized the really cold days were earlier than Feb 13. It's charging to 90% and I'll be taking it for a drive tomorrow 50-70 miles round trip. Plan to recharge it to 100% then see what happens. I've never fast charged an don't have time to get it to 100% before tomorrow's trip.

It’s been about 4 1/2 weeks. I know the vampire drain on the lightning is low, but I don’t think it’s nonexistent either. That would be a half a percent a day.

My 2023 xlt went from November to Feb without moving and lost 1% here on the northeast and we had some very cold weather for quite a while . Something seems odd almost like it was preconditioning off plug but you’d have to drive it as well for that to keep getting activated.

Checking state of charge etc or walking by the truck with your key fob or phone will also wake the truck up and use energy, likewise leaving the inverters on. If that was a Tesla, you’d be at zero.
