This is my understanding too, if low 12v is the problem you'll have some sort of failure notification. If there's no sign your truck is even trying to receive an update then it's not a 12v problem.
Yes, if you see a notification an update failed...but it is easy to miss the notifications if you don't check the APP everyday or see them on the truck display, and the error text may be hard to fathom.

When I had the issue back in the summer of 2024, I didn't notice it at first. Also the error message did not mention the 12v battery was the issue - I had to call Ford and ask what the obtuse error message meant...of course they told me to drive the truck for an hour and try to update then, but that didn't work. I had to charge the truck overnight (or leave it on plugged in overnight - I forget which) and that solved it.

Since using the maintainer, no failed updates.

I think there pushing updates every six months. The guy from ford said in the forum that the the new pt charge port functionality for the 24s would be coming soon. Last updates we got were last November and now there starting again. But I can tell you on my truck a 24 I have 10 modules that have available updates. So don't know what the hold up pushing them is.

• Your vehicle's charge port now locks when connected to a DC fast charger. To unlock the charge port, ensure your key fob (if equipped with keyless entry) or Phone as a Key (if equipped) is located near the charge port, or unlock all vehicle doors. Then press the charge port unlock button and unplug.

• We've updated your Primary and Secondary Drive Units to prevent a potential warning indicator light in cold temperatures.

Charge port locking applies to DC Fast Charging only. Level 1 and Level 2 AC chargers can be unplugged without pressing the unlock button.

Just got OBCC-AS.AU update but no idea if it falls under EAP so I won't post details unless someone can tell me how to tell the difference :x

Edit: I see others with an OBCC update but doesn't specifically say which one, so no idea if it's new or what...

I think it is possible that sometimes there won't be a notice of a failure if the 12v battery is too low.
If the battery is low it might not even receive the attempt due to load shedding, but I don;t know that for sure.
