I hate to be THAT guy but I’m really tired of being on a straight level road and have that annoying message then the beeping constantly coming on. My hands are on the wheel but there is no reason to move the steering wheel. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

You must not be on a "hands free mapped road" if so, the hands on wheel is mandatory, a slight correction/counter correction keeps the nagging in check.

I don't normally have a BlueCruise subscription, so I get to deal with the regular reminder frequently. I don't generally find it all that annoying as I am generally going to keep a hand on the wheel anyway, so just a slight tug regularly. Usually I do it often enough to avoid the nag, but not all the time.

If I'm reading your meaning, turn off acc and use regular cc. Lane keeping as well.

I think just turning off lane keeping alone would shut down the nagger, of course one still needs to hold the steering wheel.

Yes, just deactivate adaptive cruise control button on steering wheel.

Deactivate "lane keeping assist" button on steering wheel.
Yea, that will stop the nag, but not using the feature is not the point.

I agree. I've found that if my hands are not holding the wheel at 10 and 2 o'clock, the truck will warn me to hold the wheel.

can you shut it off in Forscan?
As far as I know, No.

Definitely not the case. I often when using Lane Centering, just hook one finger on the "spoke" at the lower left and just put a little downward pressure every 10 seconds or so.

Agreed with OP. @Ford Motor Company 's hands on wheel detection should not need a torque input so large as to disturb the attitude of the truck. But dont hold your breath that they are going to fix it.
You don’t to do all that. All you have to do is just rest your hand off center on the wheel. Just that little bit of weight will satisfy it. Or you can get a 1lb ankle weight and put it in the wheel. I have a small weight that I use on many of the back roads around me. Works wonders. I call it ghetto blue cruise. 🤣

Mine does _not_ do that. '22 Lariat, BC 1.4. Weight of hand at 9 or 3 oclock, or a mostly full one liter water bottle, etc do not keep the message from coming up in the Lightning. In the Y, absolutely both of those would prevent or clear the message.

It's been a long time since I ran force calibration routines on flight simulator controls, so my "hand scale" is likely off... but it feels like mine takes more like 4+ lbs force _change_ applied at the wheel rim to make the message go away. Constant force about the same amount and the message will come back.
