I love this workbench. I just rearranged my basement and need to consolidate. You have plans for this you can share?

Woodworkers do like the Lightning. My wife often finds wood she needs help hauling. In this case both the bed and the trailer were full lol.

She watches a bunch of YouTube woodworkers and more than one has a lightning….
Now if only we could build an Alaska mill on a trailer than runs off the 30 amp in the bed…

In this case to top off a gas can for the snow blower before 1-2 feet of snow start to arrive in a few hours.

I've done that a couple times. Filling the gas cans for my Honda generator. Have not needed it for a power outage (at a two way radio site, not at home) for almost a year, but I do replace the gas every few months. In fact I'm due to do that again...

It is a really weird feeling pulling up to the gas pumps in an electric truck...

it does feel "odd" pulling into a gas station - to fill up a few cans for snow machine, snow blower - but not need 'fuel' for the truck. LOL.

I bought them here for $15 4 years ago and it looks like they're still on there for the same price. That's a fraction of what you'll spend on the two pieces of plywood you need. The plans come with 33 pages of detailed measurements and one big pdf with instructions. I didn't regret it. You'll have to modify them to fit the dimensions of your table saw and the depth on the flip table to the table height of your miter saw. If you don't want many or any of the screws to show (it's how the instructions are written), you'll want a pocket hole jig. Otherwise, just slightly countersink your screws into the top. And if you don't have a dado blade on your table saw, you'll be spending a lot of time trying to cut castle joints 1/8th of an inch at at time like I did. Let me know how it goes or if you have any trouble buying the plans.

My brother's truck is in the shop, so he asked me to tow his RV to his camping spot. It is about 70 miles away, all 2 lane, lots of hills (foot hills of the Appalachian mountains). His RV is about 24 feet long and #4500. An easy tow and it made it with 57% battery left. It averaged about 60F on the trip. Could have brought it back if we needed to.

Just finished towing a 50 foot by 24 foot greenhouse (dismantled) and a couple of water cubes 840 miles round trip from the Victor Valley to Northern AZ. Towing was fine. Took my time (65 mph) and never worried about being able to charge across the literal desert and figurative charging desert.

Elevation loss/gain: 28,130 feet (including valleys, climbs, etc).
Max elevation: 7332 feet
Min elevation: 486 feet
Average efficiency there and back (empty trailer down, loaded trailer up) was 1.6 miles/kWh.

Um someone told me I can run my truck off of solar. But it doesn't seem to work. ....

I planned 6 years ago with the BOS to add extra rapidly.

I call it the gas station... Since the money we saved on gas and maintenance with the lightning over 2 years and our ev6 over 3 years basically paid for this.

I can't believe how inexpensive panels are compared to racking and inverters in today's market... yes, everything is inflated.

6-600watt BF JA Solar commerical panels. Light work for the lightning. Around 450lbs with the pallet. Only 50c per watt brand new, local pickup so no freight charge and NYS residential sales tax exempt in my county.

Using Integrarack high strength steel legs and APsystems micro's.
