Very similar to Donut and Fusion power. Lots of buzz words and future pronouncements but very little substance. Today’s batteries C rate may not increase with size but the amount of kWh/hr they can store does (see Silverado or Sierra). Also the Chinese pretty much have the charge time solved. The next big problem in batteries is recycling. New cheaper batteries lack expensive minerals. LFP batteries cost more to recycle than their value during salvage due to shipping costs.

Will Prowse made a good video talking about how far ahead China is. He made the comment that China develops, tests, sorts out manufacturing and THEN makes announcements once the product is ready, while the rest of the world is busy making announcements with nothing to show for it and most of those fizzle out.

This why I hear people say things like “I will believe it when China does it.”
