Here's a strange one: When I look at the Car Scanner data it shows that the parameter for high voltage battery age has been reset. Also, my HVB state of health has dropped from 99% to 87%. Charging to 100% shows no obvious battery issues, in fact at 100% SOC displayed it's showing 100.35 kWh on my SR pack.

I had been having intermittent (and then consistent) issues with the truck not communicating with the Ford app, so I tried a Sync reset, Sync master reset, pulling fuse 8, and then pulling the battery's negative cable, all with no results. After removing and reconnecting the three cables at the TCU (with fuse 8 removed) the truck started communicating with the app again, and it's been working fine for a few days now.

Immediately after this is when I noticed the HVB age reset.

None of what I did seems like it should have caused the HVB age to reset. And I know that the SOH figure is somewhat meaningless, but it's odd that it's dropped so low when everything seems to be fine. Truck is a 2023 Pro SR.

Did you receive the recent APIM (Sync) update (Software Update 12)? If so that would account for it. Let me know and I might be able to help with the problem.

The last update that I'm seeing is 26C10 Trailer module from 4/28/26, so unless it's one of those updates that's done in the background, I haven't received it yet.

I have no answers for you, but it is wild to me that a consumer could do anything to reset it. Akin to resetting the odometer in my opinion.
Agreed. I'd be surprised if it's even possible with FORScan. Seems like something that only the dealer could do.

FWIW, While on my latest road trip, I did notice that Car Scanner was giving inconsistent and erroneous sensor readings when parked at rest stop with other cars and trucks.

Interesting. I've checked the data a few times now this week, and so far it hasn't changed, other than the HV battery age increasing by a few days.

If you charge to 100%, then drive down to between 10-15% (can be done over several days), then charge back to your normal daily SOC, it might reset your SOH parameter since the process gives the BMS actual capacity numbers to more accurately calculate Energy and SOH as a result.

SOH is not solely based on battery capacity. Mine shows 95% SOH and yet I can still get 131kWh when I charge to full. The OP also indicated that he's already achieving greater than advertised useable capacity when charging to full. So I don't think a 100-10-100 charge cycle will improve much.

Age and temperature exposure *should* also be factoring in (would really be nice to know more about SOH reading from Ford). However if the truck thinks the battery is basically brand new, that's even more puzzling as to why the SOH is relatively low.

There is a small possibility that the greater than nominal capacity at full may be resulting in bad math for the truck's calculation. @msadan Do you recall if you were able to get 100kWh when the SOH reported 99%?

The other thing I noticed is that your voltage at 100% SOC is a bit lower than I see in mine. Mine is an extended range, but I think they are supposed to be about the same voltage and the ER packs just have more Ah. Is that not the case? Can anyone else with a SR pack report their voltage at 100% SOC?

367.5 V is what I typically see after charging to 100%. Other than the SOH and HVB age parameters, everything is very close to what I typically see after a full charge. Seeing more than the nominal 98 kWh is fairly recent, I think I only started seeing that within the last few months, but I have definitely seen it before. It’s very puzzling.

Ok, if that's the normal voltage the only other thing I can think of is to look at the voltage variation. Perhaps there's a module out of whack and that's contributing to the lower SOH.

It might be voltage variation I agree. But the date reset sure is a big mystery.

0.01 V / 0.35% voltage variation. One thing that I forgot to mention, may be unrelated - when I go into the Sync bezel menu the analytics server shows as being disconnected. I haven’t been able to find out much about the analytics server, so I don’t know if that’s meaningful.

By all individual metrics, battery seems completely healthy. I'm out of ideas...very odd indeed. I wouldn't think being disconnected would result in the truck being so off on the age. But who knows at this point. I hope you are able to figure it out, although it may require a dealer with a very smart tech to figure it out.
