Perhaps this is part of the big update some dealer techs have been told about, that brings parity software-wise to their fleet.

While I certainly hope Ford doesn’t discontinue this awesome truck, if they do, at least we will have most of the latest functionality. All things that make the experience with it better.

Is there battery test with Forscan?
I know obdlink with car scanner on the phone works, but unsure if that SoH is the same as FDRS...

I don't know that FORScan has either a HV or LVB test. If so, I haven't seen it.

The BECM is monitoring your HV battery and reports the status to the cloud when you drive. If you do have a cell imbalance issue, it would get reported immediately. As for the SoH...if you're worried about longevity, I haven't seen much of a degradation on any Lightning I've checked over the years....certainly nothing greater than 8%. My own truck is reporting 100% after 3 1/2 years of ownership.

Couple of notes this morning..one prompted by a forum member and the other prompted by Ford.

A forum member recently told me they had issues with trying to get any updates done last weekend because FDRS just wouldn't write the updates. I believe he said he was using the latest 46.5.5 version (I'm still one version behind at 46.5.4)....that said he contacted the helpdesk and I believe got a refund or some accommodation for FDRS not working.

Now this morning I see a message about the selftest mechanism not working in the 46.5.5 version and the fact that it will be fixed shortly.
Ford F-150 Lightning Lightning Software Updates using FDRS DTC_FDRS

So this could explain what happened. If you press the selftest button...but the selftest doesn't actually run the routine to clear the existing DTCs......when you then attempt to program an update it won't work, because of existing DTCs for that module. But you won't know that that's why the update failed.

I've not had the opportunity or necessity to run FDRS lately so I haven't bothered to update to the latest and apparently broken version 46.5.5. So I think I'll skip that one and wait for the next update :). The link to the 45.5.4 version still works if you need to download that.

The other thing was a note about IDS....now I know our trucks are new enough that we use FDRS instead of IDS....but for those who occasionally have a need to work on something older, they've just released a new IDS version (full, not patched) that is supposed to fix what a mess 132.01-03 had become.
Ford F-150 Lightning Lightning Software Updates using FDRS IDS-132-4

So they've been having problems lately with this whole changeover from license to subscription based logins and all the changes that brought. It'll get sorted out eventually.

So the real question is whether the new APIM updates are showing for 22-23 MY’s. I don’t have my PTS sub anymore to check. Hoping that Ford starts staging them soon.

Seems to be on a case-by-case basis. My truck is on 24127 with no updates showing pending, but other 2021's do have 25094 showing for them in FDRS and getting it via OTA.

I didn’t know we had lightnings in 2021 MY. So what you are saying is the APIM is starting to roll out randomly to those outside the 2024/2025 group?

It's not showing up for my 22 model yet. I would expect to get a GWM update before the APIM anyway...

My truck is an ICE truck; I was just using that as an example.

The 2024 ICE trucks and 24-25 Lightings are getting an even newer APIM update that brings it up to Sync 25211. No other trucks have gotten that update released to them yet. The highest any 21-23 truck can go to (for now) is Sync 25094.

Do you know if 25094 on the EV’s have the supercharger routing?
