Wonderful news about your experience getting the truck to 100,000 miles !!!

There are plenty more examples of solid trucks in the wild, hopefully mine is one of them.

My Lightning just turned over 100,000 miles yesterday.

I’m the second owner of this truck(Apr. 2024 purchase) but over 94k miles are mine.
The original Grabber tires almost made it to 57k. I replaced them with Michelin Defenders and have at least 30k more miles of tread on these tires.

I replaced my 12v battery at 88k. I did it myself and didn’t have a problem resetting the BCM. I’ve gotten software updates since so I figure I did right.

I don’t have access to a scanner but really don’t care about degradation(ignorance is bliss, sometimes, right?). I haven’t noticed any difference in range or performance of the truck.

I supercharge exclusively at Tesla chargers and stop frequently as I try not to let my battery drop below 30%. I try my best to only add 30 to 40 percent at a time at superchargers as well.

My biggest complaint is the software updates. Still waiting on B.C. 1.4. It’s supposed to be my next update but I haven’t gotten it yet or anything for that matter.

This is the best truck I’ll own in my lifetime and I want to make it last as long as possible.

Here’s to the next 100k!

Love seeing this. I have 118k myself. Love the truck

Yep, same ride as the day I got it. No leaking or weird tire wear.
I’ve put over 300k miles a piece on two other F-150s without touching the suspension.

Great to hear. One less part to worry about.

Your profile picture reminds me. I was just on a road trip down the I-99, Central CA in farmland. That was the only place I saw Lightnings the whole trip. 4 of them in pretty quick succession.

I was kinda surprised I saw so few Lightnings in CA. Also made sense for Lightning acting as farm work trucks out in those parts.

Believe it or not, I think there is real truth to this
And/or they realized that their repair end of the business isn't quite needed, or if it is and under warranty is too expensive.

That's very cool to see! I have been going back and forth on buying my Lightning lease when it's up since I won't be able to get another easily. These posts make it feel like a more solid possible move.

I don't think Ford dropped the Lightning for anything relating to repair, Ford would love a long lasting F-150 as warranty costs are lower and the F-Series has consistently shown that owners buy a new one without driving them 100k miles first. Trucks are some of the most consistent for people trading up to the new thing after only a few years. But I do believe dealers haaaaate these things. My dealer is one of the top selling (usually the top selling actually) in the country, and they usually only had between zero and three Lightnings on the lot, and I suspect most of it is because selling them doesn't keep the service bay busy.

I have access to OASIS (the technician system) if you ever get curious and want to know anything like battery state of health or a history of codes or whatever. Codes on their own aren't a big deal generally, I have had some code or another on every vehicle we have owned since they can be present for a lot of benign reasons. But if you're ever curious I would be happy to check it, just need a VIN.

If my memory serves me correctly, it's gotta be close to half dozen 6 figure folks on this very forum, right?
Is there a thread that these members are posting and tracking any trucks over 100k? Would love to track that thread. I plan on keeping mine 8 plus years

@CD4TNF I wonder if I was one of them you saw? I’m on the 99 anywhere from Merced to Bakersfield frequently.

@Vulnox thanks for the offer. I might take you up on it when I hit 200k. :)

I think this is one of the first people to hit 100k and made a thread about it.

Likely not, no Atlas Blue. I have pictures of a white and a gray Lightnings along that stretch. First picture is passing Madera, the second just south of Fresno.

The other two I don't have pictures of since they were going the opposite way. There's more Lightning friends out there by your area!

Winter has been surprisingly okay here in not-GTA Ontario
