I spoke with my ford dealer when I got the initial notifications. He said they did not have parts/program, and would notify me when available. Still have not heard from him months later. Perhaps I should try again '23 Lariat ER

I have mobile service for this recall scheduled for Monday morning on my 2024 Lariat ER. The scheduling team claims that the fix is available and can be deployed by the mobile tech team, so fingers crossed that's true. I figure it's better to do it this way than potentially wasting a trip to the dealership only to find out that they can't do it.

Side note/rant: I once made an appointment on my dealer's website to take care of a prior recall. When I checked in at the dealership, the service advisor told me that their Lightning techs are only there specific days of the week and that I can't really rely on the web scheduler. That was frustrating, but they seem to have a new process in place where they call you back after scheduling just to confirm everything.

My dealer requires a personal call to the scheduling clerk for any CSP or recall work, they verify the issues, parts availability and technicians are able to perform the work in their shop.

Same boat as of today not available. Also been waiting over 45 days now for my dealer to get in a pump for the coolant system.

Ford tech came to the house and after about an hour said the Ford system went down and the recall couldn't be finished. Lightning drove normally. Next day he came back and finished the recall. I was thankful nothing was harmed the first day.

I was in the same exact spot yesterday. After receiving the second Ford letter about the recall, stating the "Software is available to repair your vehicle," I called a Denver dealer to schedule the rollaway/parking pawl recall fix.

The scheduler dove into it a bit since I still have outstanding work on the gear shift module (no parts were available last fall) and found that Ford had changed the "availability" of the software fix just yesterday, a few hours before my call on 3/11/26, and was now saying that there was, in fact, no fix ready yet for my '24 ER Flash.

I didn't waste a day taking my truck down to Denver but I did spend an hour on the phone with two different service people at the dealership trying to figure out what was going on.

Them: there's no fix.
Me: but... I have a fancy letter from Ford...
Them: We don't have the software update.
Me: Ummm. Shit.

I am all done with showing up for a service only to find out the parts aren't in or don't even exist yet! I live 1.5 hours from the nearest dealer and just know that I have to have them confirm that they have the parts or updates IN HAND for my repair.

This isn't a Ford issue, it's just how it goes between a local service department, their parts department and how the manufacturers work. Not everyone knows what the other groups involved are doing.

If anything, the service scheduler and service advisor at this dealership did me a favor by going a step further and verifying the availability (or lack thereof) of the recall fix.

I took my 2023 XLT in this morning for a tire rotation. The software update was available.

Had my '24 Flash recall done this past week....no issues saw/received the 24C69 recall notice and waited about 2-3 weeks until I was notified that my Dealer was ready. :)

Has anyone figured out definitely which module(s) are being updated during this recall?
Ummm yeah. I have.

And there's a difference between software that is physically available to download and apply using FDRS,....and Ford not telling techs that it's okay to apply those updates now to satisfy 25C69.

The software updates are to the PCM and SOBDMC (AKA rear motor resolver, basically the control module for the rear motor).

I saw those updates on my available software list for my '22 model and have since applied them. I am very confident that those are the updated software packages that would satisfy the software verification process for 25C69. (Truck works fine afterwards, BTW)

But. Even though I have applied those two updates to the powertrain, 1) Ford has not told dealer techs that they should proceed to update '22/'23 model Lightnings' yet, and 2) as a result of that...I can't (nor can anybody else) get a software verification code that confirms that the software that's been applied meets the requirements of 25C69. The FSA tool simply says it can't find the TSB for 25C69. So this effectively prevents any dealership techs from applying the update/clearing the recall/getting paid for doing it.

So even though the correct software appears to be in the wild (and you can ask your SA if you have a PCM and SOBDMC update available-they can see it in PTS) nobody at the dealerships have been given the go-ahead to start scheduling customers to get it done.
