From PTS this morning. Notice it says it's still an Advance Notice. No dealer should be trying to do this until the full bulletin has been released (around the middle of May).
yep! tech got here and upon connecting to my truck reveialed that they Light Bar Inspection is now not expected to be ready until May. And the parking module fix is for 24 & 25's only. so he updated the recently released trailer module which would have happened over the air anyway.
Tech was nice and the mobile service is great but what a waste of dealers resources when their system sends out a tech only to then discover there is nothing to be done.

I know it’s a pipe dream but it sure would be nice if they could just add a slider in the settings for auto park brake. So that anytime truck goes into park the brake would just automatically apply. Seems like such an easy simple thing. My work around has been to open door when I stop before turning off truck and that will trigger the park brake. I have the rotary shifter so I just come to a stop crack the door and hit the power button. That puts on the brake, trans auto goes into park and truck off. So at least that works. lol.

I believe the issue is not that the activation isn’t taking place, it’s that when it does, the pawl doesn’t fully engage.

And I use Auto Hold on all three of my vehicles now (I used FORScan to turn it on on the Bronco) just to avoid negative habit transfer. I never worry about stop light creep or holding on hills anymore.

Yeah I get that. I’m saying it would be a nice feature anyway absent of this parking prawl issue. I love auto hold. I have it on both our cars. That and one pedal. It ruins me when I drive other vehicles that don’t have it. Lol.

Got my truck back from service this afternoon, they completed the 26c10 updates with no issues, also did the multipoint inspection, the coolant testing was fine and they rotated the tires, while the 25c69 recall could NOT be completed do to lack of software for 2022 & 2023 Lightnings.

Final cost for services $44.

I just blitzed FMC on a survey:

There were two recalls they came to fix. 25SB6/25V731 (Rear Lightbar Inspection) and 25C69/25V863 (Integrated park module software update) But only after connecting to my truck did the tech see that the Lightbar recall was not available until May (2 months down the road) , and the Park Module recall only applied to 2024 and 2025 models. (I have a 2023) So the mobile service trip was a total waste of time for me and the dealer. Why wasn't this information visible to the dealer notified of this before scheduling the mobile service tech? though the Lighting Owners forum I was aware of this before they showed up but I had confidence that they dealer would have the most up to date information. They didn't.

Ford F-150 Lightning Before You Schedule an Appointment for the Recall 25C69 (IPM) Fix -- make sure your dealer has the actual software update needed 25C69_Remedy-avail

And as proof that the PCM and SOBDMC updates that I applied over three weeks ago were indeed the 25C69 fix I ran the FSA verification, and it now says 25C69 is completed and provides a code to process clearing the recall. So I don't know why it took so long for Ford to enable shops to apply this patch since it's been out for weeks.

It's probably something similar to the '21-'26 Bronco APIM update recall for the Sync screen going blank..They're phasing the fix starting with the '26 models first (done this week) and then '25s next etc. Problem is dealers are sitting on '25s they can't sell because they won't pay the techs to do the APIM update at $200 an hour, and apparently they don't have the OTA capability to push this out like an Apple update would be pushed out. Probably seeing too many 'warranty spend' dollars draining the profits this quarter.

Yeah, I don't think it was a lack of software. It was a lack of being able to pay the tech if they actually did the PCM and SOBDMC update at that time. I'm convinced without seeing your software available list that the PCM and SOBDMC updates were available the day your truck was there, they didn't apply them cause they wouldn't have gotten paid and been able to clear the recall.

It's getting warmer now, so I might be tempted to dip my toes into the world of FDRS, just need to get the power supply and a 72 hours subscription.

I was at Compaq, DEC, and HP for 25 years so the DYI aspect of using FDRS is tempting but I've been holding off. I'll be watching your posts to see what you think if/when you take the plunge.

So I brought my 2023 Lightning for the TRM faulty lights recall update this afternoon... and the Tech also applied the very new just-now available IPM Parking Pawl recall software update. The Service Advisor said that the Parking Pawl recall software update for 2023s literally just became available this afternoon.

Well the good thing about a mongoose is that it also works with Forscan so you might as well update the IPC. Your toes would be real wet then. lol

Missed this earlier but it finally popped up in the app for my 23 with a note that software is now available.

FYI all - the original recall reason I went in for, for the trailer lights recall, was very quick... about 20 minutes total, including hooking up FDRS and access panel removal etc. The recall update programming itself was, like, 10 minutes or so.

The newly available Parking Pawl recall update, on the other hand, took a good hour for the technician... it includes a major SOMDB software update etc. This despite the dealerships' use of their really fast VMS dongle for FDRS work.

I share this for any time planning others might need to do.
