This message came up in the app and then the next time I started the truck. Hasn't shown up again. The only aftermarket thing I have plugged in is an USB cable in the center console. My truck (Rocket) is a 23 Lariat and I have always had a cable plugged in there. Has anyone else seen anything like this?
Not in a panic about it cause the truck runs as good as the day I got it. Not quite 3 years and 80,000 miles.

Do you have an OBD reader plugged in?

I had that issue for a week or so came everyday. Took to dealer and they updated a module that would not go sleep and caused drain. Once updated no more drain.

Well, crap. I forgot about the FIXD thingy I had plugged in to the OBD! That may be it. More likely than an unused USB cable that draws no power when the truck is off!

An OBD adapter on it's own doesn't use much power, unless, it is connected to something (ie. your phone, etc) that keeps polling the truck for data, keeping the modules alive.

Also worth noting is that the message isn't indicating consumption while off as such, it'll pop up as a result of the truck having to wake up and recharge the battery (at 40% SoC on the LVB).

Point is, that if you we're at a low SoC already, long times off, not driving much, driveway shuffles, etc. it wouldn't require much to push it over the edge and you'd get this message even if there's no external drain per se.

With a 2023 truck you're hitting the magic 3yr mark where 12 volt batteries seem to quit with no warning in the Lightning's and ICE F150's. Take it to the dealer or any auto parts store and have a load test done on the 12 volt, it may fail.

Consider the "electrical drain" message a lucky warning.

Mine did that. I took it to the dealer, they id the revalls and charged the lvb. I had just gone about 3 weeks making 2 half mile trips a day and I suspect the battery didn't have enough time to recharge.

My battery in my 2023 was not really giving me issues but I did notice a few times where the truck had to go into deep sleep mode - so I proactively purchased and installed a new OEM Ford battery and performed the battery reset process on my own…it’s been good ever since.

Never wanted to risk it failing while on a trip.

I got 7 of those messages in a two week time period, finally got it over to the shop and one cell in the 12v was dead, replaced under warranty. Also did the Tow recall while it was there.
