HVAC Auto 1/2/3 - Possible to modify fan speed default

I like having my HVAC in auto mode, and as I understand the 1/2/3 variants pertain to the fan level to get to your preset temp.

With that said, and on hot days, I notice with Auto 3 preset, the fan doesn't seem to go past 4 or 5 (based on sound-level prior to switching to manual fan). Is there any way to get the Auto 3 to utilize the higher fan speeds when the delta T is (for example) greater than 10 degrees and sun-load sensor is reading full-sun?

I'm assuming it's proprietary configurations, that aren't even readable, but thought I would ask...

Not directly ...... lower the goal temperature, then you'll hear the level three fan speed ramp up!

Or just go into the climate screen and hit max a/c for a few minutes is another way. I use remote start all the time and usually within 15-20 min on super hot days it’s already quite comfortable inside.

Use temp LO. I also only use auto 3/2/1 but when it’s 90 in sac(giggity) you need LO temp to cool truck then I bump to 69() and auto 1 and it’s perfect.

Yea I understand there are workarounds, but trying to make it more intuitive... I mean, what's the point in it having temperature setpoints if it isn't trying to get to that setpoint quickly (auto 3) / effectively (auto 2) / efficiently (auto 1)? If i have to do it that way [adjust temperature down further just to get fan to blow harder (giggity)] then just make it color-based like the old days (solid blue = cold and red = hot).

When you really wanna mess with someone, crank that air to low and convince people that your EV does (in fact) have a V8 under the hood

Personally I wish it did have a completely manual mode - like the old days.

I noticed mine doesn’t give high enough fan speeds when I think it should. I get the concept of three Auto settings, but it could be MUCH simpler. My 2006 Jetta has a single Auto mode. Then, if you manually adjust the fan up or down, that becomes your new baseline. The fan still operates automatically, but slower or faster than default according to how you adjusted the speed with the dial.

Another gripe with our manual fan adjustment is how it goes to speed 1 when you touch the speed wheel. Say, for example, Auto mode has the fan blowing on medium. You want a little more air, so you click the manual speed. Annoyingly, it goes to the lowest speed first and goes up from there. I’m wondering if you’re right about the summer interns…. lol
