I deleted my EVGo account and app and changed my credit card because I got a mystery charge 1000 miles away and have only used EVGo twice in my 5 years of EV ownership. Apparently they do not have good internal security.

I have a disclaimer under all mine that they expire within a month of redemption. So I think we have 30 days.

Thanks, edited OP. Didn't catch that initially, most of their credits have historically had an explicit expiration date tag. Currently up to $65 in stacked credits on my account.

I get the error also. When I opened the app, one of the promo codes was being promoted, still didn't work.

Same. I have used EVGO maybe once or twice and I got a notification about a month ago that someone was charging with my account in New York City. I was sitting in my office in California. That SOB racked up 70$ on my account before I could get someone on the line to shut it down and issue me a refund.

I seem to remember the 30 days after activation in the past. The current ones show that as well. I just wish they would remove promos that have been used. I have several prior promos that have long since been used, but they still show in my list of promos.

An unfortunate reality. I did notice that evGo is announcing on the app that they are moving towards two factor authentication - which should have it harder for fraudulent use.

I have av EVGO about a mile away from home. I've used it a few times in a pinch but just like others have said, it's on the expensive side. I'm gonna check this out.

I don't have any near me or I'd take it.

I don't normally care about charging near home (unless free) because any paid public charging is more expensive than charging at home. However there has been a two stall 50KW evGo a mile or so away that is right next the the local Starbucks. And they just opened a 350KW 16 stall station two miles the other way.
