Update: Still sitting in the same spot since May12th. SA keeps telling me the same thing, "wiring harness" "Lift in Use". I'm starting to think it's a bunch of BS and they don't want to waste their time on EV's.

Anyone know if a buyback can be initiated under the Powertrain Warranty?
Any other Ford dealers in ur area that it could be switched to? Sounds like that dealer doesn’t know what they’re doing or are understaffed.

They are understaffed, apparently only one EV tech that also works on other vehicles (makes sense) and I don't want to start this circus again moving it to another dealer. Although I will be asking @Ford Motor Company in my call if they can just transport the battery array if I find another dealer.

I do wish Ford offered regional EV only maintenance facilities. Even if there was just one for all of the northeast you could staff that thing with a dozen EV techs and they’d churn out battery module swaps like it’s flipping pancakes. Until then we’re stuck with scattered EV knowledge and resources where it takes 6 weeks to do something that should take 2 days.

MODEL E @Ford Motor Company it's time to pull the pin on making BLUE do this work when E focused regional centers can do so much better

This. I'm not sure why they pulled the plug on this. The dealer was pretty quick to identify the issue and order the required parts which which I appreciate but then waiting 3 weeks to have this repaired due to having 1 tech and then not having the required space is not right.

I love the concept, but as much as many dealers seem to not embrace them, they would scream bloody murder at Farley if he attempted such a thing. It's why the "E" dealers concepts and ideas got pushed to the curb. If you do anything that would cut into their staggering profits, they will push back. They don't want to work on them and won't hire and train enough mechanics, but yet if you tried taking the work away you'll have trouble.

Noted in my other thread - my 6 hours of SW updates was billed at close to $750 to Ford.

Update: Got her Back! Looks like it was #8 Module that was bad. Hopefully, this is it and nothing else comes my way.
