I was driving and out of the nowhere i got this error about the air dam, anyone having this issue?

Pretty much everyone. The dam gets stuck sometimes and doesn't know what to do. It usually resets itself. Mine gets jammed on one side, I'm going to look at it in the spring.

I experienced this one time, it reset itself. Whether its weather related with snow, ice etc.
I look as it as same thing when I get parking safety sensors offline during freezing rain or ice and snow conditions.

I got the message and think it was cold/ice conditions. What pissed me off is I couldn't find a reference in the manual.

My dealer replaced one of my actuators that showed as bad. But I’ve got the message twice since the repair. I think some maintenance needs to be done on the path the air dam travels.

The entire air dam device seems to be very fragile and not one of Fords better ideas.

Mine does it daily. I also got the dreaded External power drain message last Tuesday so I dropped it off at el cajon ford. The service advisor said they looked at the air damn and said it's functioning as intended.... I'm not surprised by the response but I'm coming to the conclusion that he's not wrong either. Seems like they just need to back down the error message sensitivity. I'm gonna disable my air dam and figure out how to turn it off on forscan.

Mine has done it daily for the last two months. I am planning on having the dealer look at it next Friday when it is in to fix the cameras due to the water in my lightbar. That said, it was in the mid to high 70's on my way home from work yesterday, and in the mid 60's on my way to work this morning (55 miles mostly highway each way) and I didn't get the error. I can't help but wonder if it is temp related but I hope to get more info after my dealer visit which I'll gladly share.

I got the error randomly while on the highway bluecruising. It shouldn't have even been moving.

72 degrees on the way home yesterday and no error. 42 degrees on the way in this morning, drove about 40 miles and got the error message getting off the highway.

Thank you for sharing. Just scheduled an appointment for this weekend to get this fixed. Been bothering me since i got the truck last year and its the single issue i've had. So will be nice to have it resolved!
