Anyone get BC 1.4 before Walk Away Lock?

I’ve got a 2023 lariat ER. The phone ap popped up an Alert that I’m getting bc 1.4 today. The only feature I want is walk away lock. I am not complaining about any software update but, I was hoping to get the WAL before the 1.4.

is this a normal order of software updates? Did I miss something?

2023 Lariat ER here, have had BC 1.4 for ~6 months. No sign of walk-away lock yet.

I’d really rather have the 500A DCFC update… pace of updates has been wayyyy down in 2025.

MY22- Yes, BC 1.4 was delivered in June,’25 and WAL dropped in July.

The majority of updates have no prerequisites or dependencies, order of roll out is virtually random

I got karaoke months ago, useless.
Maybe if Ford pushed out BC1.4 we might actually pay the $50. a month.
My 24 Flash came with WAL, A feature i use a dozen+ times a day in the service business.

Man! Why is the software update cycle so random for everybody?!
That's crazy! Seems like everyone, or at least everyone with the same model and vintage, should get the updates the same day. Is that too much to ask? What am I missing?

Disaster control, there is a some logic to releasing in waves, but that too should be more predictable & rhythmic.

I got 1.4 before walk away lock.

Same.
I received 1.4 in March. Then WAL in July, but it doesn’t work :/ I believe the BCM needs to be updated via FDRS to enable it. Could be wrong, but as of right now it doesn’t work.

I got WAL but cant use until another update I forget the alphabet one that has to update before you can use it. It has been the only update since December 2023. I have called and they say everything is set up correctly, so there is that. No, none nada BC updates ever, I look daily, maybe someday. Its the great mystery of life how these go out.
