I have a new Flash and I was bringing a family guest back to their home in the cold weather last night. The back seat wasn't getting any hot air that we can tell. We played with all the heat settings we could find. The graphic gave the impression there was supposed to be air flow. What little air that was coming out the vent in the center console wasn't warm. Is there anything I can check?

2025’s have heat pumps I believe. They aren’t very effective in really. Old temps.

How cold was it ?

But the front seats were fine. Outside the temps were 20F or below and the wind chill was another 10 degrees below that.

There are vents under the front seats. If Driver Focused is on it doesn't blow air through those vents. I run in Auto level 3 all the time. This is applicable for a 2022 so there might be a difference in a 2025.

It looks like “Driver focused” is an option or part of a package I don’t have.

In my 2024 (so it has a heat pump) the back seat warms mostly from the floor vents in auto. So make sure nothing is blocking those like a floor mat, a coat, a pair of shoes, a football...

Driver focused would cause it as well. Since you referenced playing with all the settings you should have seen it and the graphics would show the different airflow routes.

The heat pump is not roasting heat but still able to do fine per my kids on 0 degree F days.(Unless they kick their shoes off and block the vent...or shove a coat down because they are too warm...or kick the football in the way... :)

I have a 2025 flash and the driver focused shows up when you press the heat button on the right of the big dial on the sync screen.

I'm not impressed with the heat either and I have to crank my side up to over 85 till it hits high. Then it still takes over two miles in 20 degree F temps before it starts blowing heat. I don't think far enough ahead all the time to know exactly when I'm heading out the door or I would pre warm it with the app.

I may end up with one of those tall Lasco Tower oscillating heaters sitting back there just for me.

Problem I have is I wish there was a way the settings would remain the same even after power off and restart the next day like any other pickup. Each time I have to manually set it to blow at my feet and through the dash vents on me plus putting it on driver focused when alone even though the passenger side heat control is turned off. Not sure why I can't set it to blow out those two particular vents and forget it.

You might look at vent extenders. I have noticed the same issue in summer, with the people in the back complaining they aren't getting much cool air. We're getting a 3d printer for our son this Christmas and this is one of the first things I'm going to print on it: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6728198

I think the vent extenders will make a big difference. With the way they are currently situated any hot air that comes out gets shot directly under the rear seat.

I have some that are designed to spread the air out and direct it upward to alleviate this issue.

I need to get mine to market...

Sounds like a good fix. Save some plastic for your son. Sounds like your son is getting just what you need. :) Reminds me that my 2 year old granddaughter could use some tools for Christmas and I'll hold on to them till she is old enough to use them. :)

I printed those vent extenders and they seem to help. Daughter went from being cold to being too warm. Now just have to figure out more effective defogging and I'll be golden.

Also you can just manually close the front vents for the driver/passenger. Force the air out the rear vents.

Guess I'll have to settle for making some extenders out of cardboard. I'd want them to curve up so they would blow up towards the legs, body, and head area of passengers. Could get some milk jugs, ice cream pails, plastic storage bins/totes or similar plastic items around the house and use a little heat and glue to make something.

Seqrch on Etsy. I purchased some rear vent extenders from a seller there and they fit/work nicely.
