I refused to buy another EV with a glass roof, and all Lightnings with solid roofs also lacked BlueCruise.
Wrong. My 24 Flash has a metal roof and does have BC.

Concur, mine does as well and I wasn’t sure what this poster was talking about. I’d figure a truck with a sunroof was far more rare than a car/suv

I also got the 3 free years plus an additional year which means I’m covered through October of this year.
My truck is still running B.C. 1.0. If I don’t get the 1.4 update then I won’t be paying for it come November.

I just got a Cyberbeast Cybertruck loaner... (My Model 3 is getting the battery replaced)(2020 under Warranty), And I pay for Bluecruise in my Lightning, I also pay for FSD in my Model 3, but this FSD is what Bluecruise should have been. I'm thinking of not renewing this year, Bluecruise is okay for a quick bite of a burger or fast food trip but it cuts in and out way too much to be reliable. I love the ROOM in the Lightning, but LOVE the way the Cybertruck drives. KW/Mile is also better in the Beast by quite a bit. It's certianly more expensive to insure as well. I like that with the Lightning I don't have to worry about the liberal folks spiting, scratching or peeing on my truck. So there is also that. and Yes it's UGLY! It's also 845 hp vs 540 hp.

Normally my Model 3 is sitting there. It's a tight fit for the Cybertruck. and Yes my Garage is a mess... But spring is right around the corner. My Lightning sits in the Shop where there is more room. If you haven't ever ridden in a Cybertruck... the whine of the motors is ridiculous! It's like 1980 and you just put in a stereo/amp for the first time and it's picking up the alternator noise. There's things about this truck that I love, but am remebering why I bought my Lightning.

I've got dozens of hours on bluecruise and it's a great feature.

Pricing is the only sticking point.

I feel like BC is mostly the built in traffic aware cruise control but turning off the "hands on" nag plus different dash screen graphics. Maybe it's "being reductive" but that's my impression after using it for the 3 month trial period and letting it lapse. If I do a big road trip I might buy it for a month but I don't use it enough to make it worth the price to me. Clicking the turn signal to change lanes is a nice party trick but also not worth the money.

I got three years free and it will run out this fall. I have and will never use it. a crazy idea that scares the hell out of me that there are people on the road trusting a computer with my life.
I get the sentiment, but I'd much rather have a computer driving than half of these morons on their phones.

I think you’re being way over dramatic here. BC really makes sure you’re looking at the road and paying attention. I’m not trusting shit. I’m still sitting right in front of the wheel. My hands are right there to take over if needed. It’s not like I climb in The back seat to take a nap. I’ve done thousands of miles with BC taking trips across the country and I’d say there has only been a small handful of times I’ve ever had to grab the wheel and I did just that. Put my hands on the wheel and all was well.
I'm not worried about you. I'm worried about the other drivers who aren't paying attention. As for myself, I enjoy driving.

not me. I spent 25 years in the computer biz. I've seen way to many unexplained issues to trust them

Fair enough. Though I've been in IT for 10 years, so we'll agree to disagree. You get a better perspective of just how bad and dangerous other drivers are when you ride motorcycles. They're never looking at their surroundings.

I, too, have concerns with a computer driving vehicles. But, I have greater concerns with the 50% of people driving around with an IQ below 100 (that is a mathematical fact) and / or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Computers don't have to be perfect to improve safety. They just have to be better than the average driver. As a former President once said, "Trust, but verify."

I rode in the past. I have had drivers look directly at me when I was approaching them at an intersection on a motorcycle, and then react with surprise when I sounded the horn. I am convinced that many drivers don't SEE motorcycles. They look, but they don't see. I think they are looking for a car or truck, and for confirmation that there is not one there. When teaching my kids to drive, I taught them to look with the mindset that there was something there that they had not seen yet, versus looking to confirm nothing was there. The cameras and sensors in a computerized system do not have such confirmation bias. As stated in another post, computer-assisted driving just has to be better than the average driver to improve safety.
