Not going to argue with you.

I don't even have comma or a 2024 and I know it works from reading various threads.

I hate to be "that guy"...but seriously search it.

Honestly,it took me all of five minutes to find this 2025: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/comma-ai-self-driver-assistant.18266/post-643197

And literally posted yesterday of why just those model years: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/comma-ai-self-driver-assistant.18266/post-644993

I don't mind asking about things but being obstinate prior to a cursory search is just frustrating.
I wasn't trying to be frustrating. I just would rather not purchase something that isn't officially supported. I'll read thu your links. I've researched myself and seen that it's supposed to work. Maybe after my BC runs out and I find I can't live without it, I'll have to take the plunge.

Hmmm.. lots of hate on here about Blue Cruise.. Do to an eye injury in December and with a decent amount of highway driving, 500 mile plus jaunts, Blue Cruise handled all that driving beautifully. I literally could not have made those trips without it. I have used it since version 1.0 (now on 1.4) and find it dependable and useful. Now the $50 a month is a little much, if it was $35 it would be a no brainer for me. @ $50 I will probably go the month to month route . I use it about every other month for long trips (short trips i could probably do without, except during the eye incident). Ford would be smart, charge $50 for the month to month, $35 a month for an annual subscription... Anyway I do love Blue Cruise and It works very well for me...
It's not hate as much as disappointment. Ford's offering seems to pale in comparison to Comma.ai's AND it's a subscription. An expensive subscription. I've always been a fan of open source projects and the community. If I can afford the upfront cost and now that my fears seem to be settled, it's a no brainer to head that route. Thanks to @truthlesshunter for giving me the little push I needed!

Definitely not hate. People are just stating facts. Ford is charging premium subscription prices for a rather basic product.

I'm complete apposite, i cant see not using it. I put 20000 miles on my23 last year and i swear 18000 miles were under BC and that was 1.0 when 1.4 hit i was ecstatic . i drive 100 miles a day 50 to work and 50 home almost all on the freeway.. works perfect every time!! i have a few years left on my subscription so i will probably purchase an extended year hopefully it will be priced accordingly.
Perfect use case for it. I would get it with half your usage. I only would get about 40-50 miles a month right now.

They have an annual plan but it costs a little more than that. $495 which amounts to $41.25 a month.

I really like Blue Cruise .... when it works.
Unfortunately I have not had a good experience. Less than perfect weather and it seems buggy even when lane keep assist and adaptive cruise is working well.

I’m sure there’s many of you that have turned off/not renewed blue cruise once you realized if you need it occasionally it might be better to pay for a month than having a recurring charge for something that you don’t use or can’t use. That being said I felt that the 50 bucks a month on something I might use once in the same time period was a little rich for me to justify.

No I’m not one of the ones who gets the free blue cruise because of early adoption, so that’s out and if anyone knows of something coming down where they may offer it to everyone at no or low charge due to the limited run, please pass that along. In short l, it doesn’t work well, my explorer doesn’t have it but has everything else minus the monthly fee and does as good as the lightning with it running.

I certainly hope that the lighting doesn’t go the way of the delorean or packard or whatever car floats your boat to compare how the manufacturer ever so loudly stopped supporting it and making it impossible to continue ownership. Maybe Brian (not ai) from Ford can pass this along to the corporate personnel as real feedback because apparently all that gets passed along is this silent majority of people who want to pay more for less, whether that’s less value, less quality or less F’s to give from Ford. I figure I may get better and more realistic results by scheduling an exploratory prostate exam because at least I’d get what I asked for.
get a Coma AI! way better then Blucruise. It is a one time cost for equipment. No subscription.

I love it for long trips on the highway (where you can get it most of the time), but I don't understand why it doesn't cover more areas. I live in a pretty remote village in Maine, so I'm an hour away from any road where I can use it. Once my subscription runs out, I will just get it for a month here and there when I'm taking a road trip.
I used to have a Model 3, but got tired of Tesla's bad quality and customer service. For about a month, they gave us all a free trial of their full self-driving mode. I tried it a few times, and it seemed to work very well. You plugged your destination in and turned it on, and it just drove you there. You had to occasionally tweak the wheel, but it made all the turns, stop sign and stoplight stops. I didn't trust it to park, but I guess I could have.
I wasn't thrilled with the Tesla normal lane centering and cruise control. I never could figure out why, but sometimes the sensors "saw" something that wasn't there, and braked (regen) when we were on the highway in traffic. I was lucky I didn't get rear-ended. After a while, most of that went away and I learned to mostly trust it, but i always kept a hand on the wheel and my foot close to the accelerator.. I haven't had that problem with the Ford, except for once in a while, I'll be on the highway in a 70 mph zone and suddenly the indicator in the dash shows a 25-mph sign, and the truck tries to slow to 25. I have looked for that 25 mph sign, and it's just not there (this is on 95 in Maine).
Overall, for the highway, BC does a great job and takes a lot of the stress out of driving. For most of my backroad driving, I just drive. CC is OK and I use it to limit speed whenever there seem to be more cops around, but it asks me to put pressure on the wheel so often I usually just turn it off and drive.

BC is pointless for me, even if it was free. I'm an hours drive from the closest road it'll work on, I-10. At best I'd use it once a year for at most 80% of the journey. Now if there was an option to pay $1,000 to buy and have professionally installed a comma AI? I would consider paying a monthly fee to keep that working.

No need for a professional install. It's really not that difficult.

If you absolutely need a pro install, any good car audio shop should be able to do it for you. Instructions are easy to follow youtube videos from @Ajzride

There is NO monthly fee with Coma AI. you purchase the equipment, and install. It works on all roads, even gravel roads.
