Do you have any links for info on the Lightning Strike EX?
That was just a name a came up with as I was adding to this forum. With those specs, hardly anyone would want to pump gas again. But in case you want a pic, I will attach one. Don't get too excited, it's not real.

One of my best likes and for entertainment only, the new 2035 Ford F150 White Lightning Bolt EX.

Yea, it’s funny, the Lightning pulls the weight fine, even better, it’s the loss of range that kills the feasibility!

F150 lighting on order
If it were me, I would sell the house and move closer to the water or wherever before sell my Lightning!
Don't tell my wife she a 100% wants to do this but unfortunately I work even further away from the water in Massachusetts so where we live in Rhode Island is kind of a nice balance between our commute to work and where I like to go play

I am thinking about doing the same thing. I was trying to understand the differences between the versions (like which features are available on one and not another), but I could not find an answer on Ford's website.

Can you help me here highlighting the difference between the trucks?

Did you get pro-power on board?

Are you missing something? Are you happy about having something?

Appreciate!
I literally took my first non test drive in it today so I'll let you know in a couple days but so far features are very similar Yes I got the pro power it turns on in hybrid mode without running the engine so you can run climate without running the motor I think the pro power has to be run with the motor on though longer than a few minutes. The Power boost has the new version of Blue Cruise so it does the self-driving with lane changes etc. though it's not free from Ford (90 day trial) and everything else honestly looked and feels pretty much the same though the 2025s went away from leather in the lariat's and has a quote unquote vegan leather....
And I can tell you I do already miss the frunk which I used to store all my tools and keep s*** out of the way and out of the cab. I got to get the bed sprayed in a couple days so hopefully things aren't sliding around my bed as much as they are right now

I'm in northern RI in the spring was about 60 Miles round trip(Bay), Boat is a 25 foot center console and all geared up with the trailer its pushing north of 8K lbs. in the summer i like to go further so 110 Miles (Narragansett) round trip is normal i did it last week in the lighting @100% charge and drove 55 with no A/C to test it out. and on the way home may have got some help drafting a box truck lol. got home with 15% battery... a little to close for the normal drive and prevents any further trip like to the Cape or down to CT which i do occasionally and would be able to do without charging
Thats actually quite a bit better than I was expecting. I'm somewhat on the lookout for a 19-23ft center console, nothing too big, but it sounds like I could easily make it to the places I like to fish.

Bittersweet day today traded in my 2022 Ford F-150 lariat after 58,000 miles been a great truck but upgraded the boat this year and the towing range anxiety is a real thing so picked up a new 2025 f150 lariat power boost today so I'm back to buying gas. Thanks to everybody on this form for the information over the last couple years super helpful and getting to know and getting the most out of enjoying my lightning

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think there will be a 2026 Lightning.

I asked ChatGPT for a 2030 version of the Lightning and I got this. Interestingly, it seems to have put a fuel door on the back all on its own. Maybe it knows EREV is coming.

And what the heck did it do with the charge port? It looks like it's plugged into the open door :D

I had two PowerBoosts before the Lightning and they are great trucks. I don't frequently tow a boat or anything so the move was an easy one for me, but I always tell people considering a Lightning that for now I would only do it if you aren't towing far. The range loss compared to the PB isn't as enormous as some make it out to be (as a percent of total range) because I have towed with a PowerBoost, and even at half the tow capacity it got like 8-9 MPG. A far cry from the 24MPG I frequently got on the highway unloaded.

That said, almost every gas station anywhere is pull through, and refueling is a simple affair.

Not many EV stations are set up that way, and those that are could be in use or out of service and may only be one or two stations at an entire install.

Once normal unloaded range on trucks is 400+ miles and we have more pull through EV stations, I don't think I would have an issue recommending an electric truck for those that tow at times as the loaded range won't be far off the gas counterpart. But until then...

On the off chance that you are right, I guess I'd consider the upcoming RAM EREV for a replacement? (It's been a while since I've owned a CDR vehicle...)

That is my idea, but RAM keeps postponing it and that, for me, is kinda a red flag.
Amen, brother. The stats SOUND amazing, and who wouldn't want 750 miles of range? But, you gotta show me the gear before I can show you the money.
