I travel 80 miles of bluecruise enabled interstate daily and have been using bc successfully for several months. BC worked normally on my commute yesterday morning but it did not work for the entirety of my return trip that afternoon. As of my commute in this morning it is still not working. Everything is still set properly in the settings menu and adaptive cruise control is still working in the sense that I did not slam into any cars this morning. When I hit the steering wheel control to toggle lane centering on and off it provides on/off confirmation, but it is not actually working as the car will drift out of the lane even when on.

Anyone ever heard of something like this?

I had something similar happen when GPS went out in my truck. Try looking at the onboard navigation (not android auto / carplay) and see if it is showing your location correctly.

@roscoe Were you wearing your seatbelt while trying to use BC?

Was lane change assist working for you when BC did work?

Yessir to both questions. I was part of the large group of owners that got that update earlier this year (late march/april maybe?) and have been using it daily since.

The thing is, your truck last reported itself to the cloud on 9/1; it did not report any data yesterday to see if any codes are there that can be associated with BC not working. The config seems to be correct for BC to work, but there is one bit in the IPMA that does not line up with lane change assist working, but if it worked, then maybe the the ab data Ford has on the server is not exactly the same as what is on your truck.

Do you have FORScan?

No Forscan. Additional details that may or may not be relevant:
- I use the FordPass app daily and phone as a key. Phone as a key works fine as does unlock, but the current battery life has been stuck on 43% since I returned home Monday night. When I got in the truck this morning the battery was at 90% and is around 75% now but the app still shows 43%.
- I was prompted to re-login to FordPass this morning and that hasn't happened in many months.
-When I go to Software Updates in the truck menu it seems to sit on this message "Getting the latest software update status... (This may take a minute or so). In fairness, I probably only sat at that screen for 2-3 minutes, it just has never taken that long before.

Disconnect the negative cable from your 12v battery for 20 minutes. Once you reconnect it, check for updates again to see if it makes it past the spinning pinwheel screen. If it does, then try BC again. GWM may be hung up causing the issues.

Does the lane centering icon turn green with the hands on wheel icon above the batt gage?

Is the camera dirty?

Thanks all. 12v disconnect likely fixed this. Upon reconnecting:

-FordPass app updated to current charge rate
-software Update screen went to “updates downloading” and then seemed to auto install almost immediately before displaying “update successful” and details about bc1.4, walk away locks and AirPlay updates. Now seeing wal and bc 1.4 settings in the menu (even though both have been working for months).
-will have to wait till tomorrow to ensure bc is working again, but seems likely that it will.

Dear @Ford Motor Company,
I request the addition of a 12 volt disconnect or reset feature which can be activated from inside the cabin.
It will save us all a lot of wasted time and frustration with Ford and our vehicles. It will also save Ford money versus Ford finding and solving all the software issues which require a disconnect and reset.
Sincerely,
Lytning

I can confirm this also fixed the bc issue. I’m sure we all figured that it would, but just wanted to post for posterity. Also, the updates that applied must have also turned on adaptive headlamps. I can’t say for sure as I don’t drive a lot at night so perhaps they have been on for some time now. This is just the first I am noticing as I drove a lot at night this weekend and the adaptive lights just worked. I did not enable them in the console, and quite frankly, thought the only way to turn them on was through for scan. It was a nice surprise and they worked well.
