I am buying a floor jack to change tires. Anyone know what the minimum lift height I will need?

I don't know what you need, but that subject has been discussed here. I recall someone noting Harbor Freight for a budget version.

I have a 2.5-ton and a 4-ton Harbor Freight jack. I got the 4-ton when they had a 25% off coupon so it wasn’t much more than I was planning to spend to get a 3-ton and it gives me a little extra sense of capability. A 3-ton should be enough for corner lifting.

I'm eying the 3 ton Harbor Freight Long-Reach Low-Profile Professional with Rapid Pump.

So many jacks don't even reach 20 inches (inadequate). This one is 24 1/4".

$189.99 right now through 1/19, via store stock, limited.

I reccommend the HF BADLAND 3 Ton Off-Road Jack.
I second this.
It lifts high enough where you don't need to use the extender / riser.

I only use mine twice a year and last time it compressed/lowered super fast (enough to set off the alarm) on the second wheel I swapped. Not sure if I was careful enough or if it "dries out" from sitting, but next time I'll make sure to exercise it once or twice before using it on the truck.

Other than that, very happy with it.

The descent speed is regulated by the amount/speed that you turn the handle. If you crank it wide open, it will drop fast. If you want slow, just barely turn the handle, and adjust from there.

Thank you, though I've used enough hydraulic jacks in my days to have an OK understanding of their functionality.

I wasn't paying enough attention to know if it was me opening it too fast that particular time (it more or less "fell down", not just decended rapidly), or if the seals get a little bit dry from sitting 7-8 months without use, either way, I'll just "exerise" it once or twice before putting it under the truck and it should be a non-issue.

Do you have any concerns about horizontal stability with the air bags?
It was surprisingly stable. The air donut shapes are about 12in in diameter so it’s very beefy. I wouldn’t ever get under the truck with one of these but for lifting one wheel at a time to swap them for winter ones it’s worked great so far.
