What if he changed that value using FORScan to the original 70 to match the online? Maybe clear the DTC again also? Would it see a match then and allow an update?

Edit: if so, may have to compare the online As Built with a Save All in FORScan to see if any other parameters are mismatched.

Part of the issue is that his truck was built in the US and exported to Costa Rica. So he is using FDRS over there. His truck is not talking to the mothership. I asked you-know-who to send a ping to it to trigger the interrogator, but at the time I did that, I didn't know the truck was not in the US. Working with him to see if we can get his TCU provisioned, but if you have any ideas on how to clear the code, I can walk him through it. Lmk if you want me to message you the VIN.

iLL LOOK AT THE AS BUILD. I read he made some changes for Glare Free.. Basically need to make sure the SCCM matches 100% what someone with working GF has. But the 2101 can be triggered form another module. IE HCM or IPMA>

I did that. His online asbuilt (for the SCCM specifically) matches my truck's with the exception of the 70 vs. 2D on the first register, and the fact that he doesn't have a heated steering wheel. I have working GF lighting.

oK BUt he can still have a 2101 in the SCCM due to another module

You trust the online data, or do you want the OP to pull the entire abt file directly off his truck with FORScan?

Edit: @walanis Grab the entire abt file for your truck, convert it to text and send it to me or post it here. Or at least the abt files for the SCCM, HCM and IPMA.

I never noticed that additional bit about it only reading the GWM, APIM, and TCU modules until I went back in and put my mouse over the tooltip. I thought it was reading everything. Ahh well....

lOOKING AT YOUR TRUCK.. If you have Glare Free enabled.. It isnt enabled in the IPMA. That would cause a 2101

Ok, I haven't made any changes to the glare free, could the update have changed the values and therefor created the DTC?
The glare free lights have been working though. But I will check tonight with forscan and make the necessary changes and see if it solves the problem.

Yes, it is possible the IPMA update reverted the change that enables glare free. Easy enough to check and hopefully it is as easy as that.

Hey @rugedraw and @Jesse-Infotainment you guys are great. I just finished configuring with forscan the IPMA and IPC to enable glare free (those two module I guess went back to the AS-Built), then cleared the DTCs and re-read them and the 2101 DTC in the SCCM module is gone! Thank you very much, with that I guess I can now updat the SCCM module. Hopefully I’ll buy a 2 day license over the weekend and update the module. All I’d be missing is the BCM module but I guess I will have to talk to the dealer for that.

Here is the screen shot of my DTC. I’m still getting the U023A in the SCCM Module but that shouldn’t be a problem to update right?
