Yes, that’s exactly what I meant! Basically, this, but going into the EV X-Stream adapter instead of another vehicle

OK, then yes that will work fine.

Ok, adapters have been ordered (returnable). I’ll share the result after they’ve arrived and I’ve had a chance to test out this Lightning to DP charging arrangement.

The description on their web site sounded good, hope they live up to it!

FWIW, this message is from Ecoflow Tier 2 technical support. Hard to say how how much they know about the Ford Power Pro, but at least this suggests the DP won’t fault. Also, the charge rates are informative.

I run an RV shore power cable from the trucks 240v outlet to the generator port on my EG4 12000xp. Works great to charge my batteries, I have a home solar setup using mostly ecoworthy stuff, trackers, panels, batteries.
This inspired me while I was creating a similar off grid solar setup at my house. I opted for the 6000xp and have it connected to two EcoWorthy 280Ah 48v batteries. I wired the female end like you commented and plugged in the other end to the bed outlet. The EG4 seems to recognize it's there, reporting voltage on each leg and the AC freq. But I can't seem to get it to charge the batteries. If you find a spare moment, could you let me know which settings you configured to get it to work?

I don't know much about the 6k other than what's obvious, here's a couple of ways I can do the batteries, one is eg4 native and the other is Solar Assistant.

I haven't tried open loop communication yet, I think the 6k is very similar to yours. I need to look into solar assistant, I've seen a couple people mention that now. Thanks!

Welcome: SA is nice to have around but you still need the native software for better control and system updates. The only thing you lose with open loop besides the obvious, is temp readings which really isn't a concern with LFP batteries. None the less I keep a thermal camera handy to monitor the entire system.

Quickest way to stop a problem before it becomes one.

In order to bypass the trucks built in neutral bond, do NOT connect the ground lead from the truck, only the 2 lines and neutral are used. Yes it's NEC compliant regardless what any arm chair electrician tells you.

1 (one) neutral bond is required at the 1st disconnect which is your homes main panel, the truck DOES NOT have a true ground. All of your homes ground circuit protection remains intact and your truck won't shock you when connected.

The big black cable on the floor is that shore power cable.

When you are connected to the generator port are you able to use the full 12k inverter? I have some other battery backup that automatically switches to pass through mode where it only allows me to use the trucks inverter. I ask because I just installed solar with an EG4 Flexboss21 and Gridboss with an EG4 battery. There is a generator port in the system. I had a minor concern that the system would revert to the 7k inverter from the truck when I would potentially need more than that in a grid down situation.

I have solar system battery bank I run the whole home on and the truck simply recharges the batteries afaik. As a precaution I would not go over the trucks rating.

You might want to ask them over at eg4 how the system handles it. There's nothing in my literature that's specific to that.
