It frustrates me that the GM system makes use of pretty much the same gear and people don't seem to be having the same issues. The only thing different? The charging station IIRC.

It's almost like @Ford Motor Company needs to either open it up or replace the Siemens units.
You mean those same Siemens units that are having issues when using charging times and departure times? The worst part is Ford is fully aware and doing nothing.

The entire system design is fatally flawed. It uses multiple wireless technologies along the path from truck to inverter when there are perfectly good wires, supporting arbitrary communication (CCS uses ethernet-over-powerline for signaling!). It's not going to get fixed.

Just an update from my end:

Ford still hasn’t offered any meaningful monetary remediation to my attorney. We’re having one final discussion, and if we can’t reach terms, we’re moving to litigation. I have years of documentation, including 50+ days at the dealership, recalls tied to my original complaints, and the HIS issues. We’re confident in the strength of the case and will be pursuing damages and a multiplier. My attorney is working on contingency, and I’m in no rush. I’m prepared to go back and forth with Ford as long as needed. If this reaches trial and the ruling supports it, I plan to push for a broader class action review of the issue.

Wish I had a counter for everytime I spoke with Ford on the phone and they told me, "That this is a known issue and we are working on a solution. We anticipate a solution by (fill in the blank) Last March they told me by year end.

When they say that, ask them to email that statement to you. If they don’t, tell them you will be recording the phone call.

looks like a class action is starting for 2024’s due to the sensor being removed but still written on the window sticker. (Sounds like a “blue cruise” vs “blue cruise for 36 months” could be set up based on this precedent as well)

Yes
@Ford Motor Company you guys can’t be silent on this for long.
Yes they can. They can and they will remain silent. Because they stopped caring two years ago. There is no consequence, they made their money, and they're not going to say or do anything about the problem, ever.

I DIY installed the HIS and had similar results in terms of reliability. I doubled down and installed solar and the LG battery. The solar and battery setup has been flawless but now I can’t backup from the truck at all.

Im sure I’ll be disqualified in a class action as I’m not a licensed electrician. That said, I believe since we own the devices we should have full authority under the DMCA to reverse engineer and repair (in reality send our findings to ford/delta/sunrun/siemans). I’m going to check with my legal counsel in the AM, but if you are technical and want to help reverse engineer please DM me. Together we might be able to fix this thing. These four companies certainly won’t.

I don’t think the problem is the inverter. I think It’s with the truck’s Bluetooth module.

For connecting the truck to the charging station, both bluetooth modules are bad. - but it's worth remembering that other V2G systems don't require this connection, and the F150 lightning can be used in V2X systems that DO NOT use a bluetooth connection.

The big issue for me is the Charge Station Pro - which fails with such regularity that it is most certainly not fit for purpose.

I performed a test today of my Home Integration System. Cut the power to my house. In about 60 seconds, the green LED ring lit on the lightning charge port. After another 20-30 seconds my inverter began to click as it was receiving DC voltage from my truck. But shortly thereafter the inverter went silent. There was an amber LED light lit on the right side of my charger.
Just asking so I can have a better understanding, if this was a bluetooth issue, how could the LED ring turn green on the lightning and how would my inverter click as though it was receiving DC voltage from the truck? I often get a PV Under Voltage fault momentarily on my inverter during testing but not always. Even though I get this error message momentarily, the power often will transfer. Today I didn't get the PV under voltage fault on the inverter just the right side amber light on my charger.

After getting the fault, unplug the charger from the truck for about 20 seconds, until any whiring or clicking noises stop, then plug it back in. I normally need to unplug/plug twice to get my HIS to work. I sometimes get fault warnings (the right amber light on the charger, as well as on the dash of the truck), but it clears after an unplug/plug cycle, or two. Make sure to wait about 60 seconds between unplug/plugs.
A couple days ago, I had to unplug/plug four times before the HIS started up powering the hose with the truck. Today, just one unplug/plug did it :)
It’s a manual process, but it works.
