1PD was working fine on my Mach E friday, so I suspect that Comma might have made an update that got rolled into staging-3.0 that fixed 1PD
I did get an update today. There are 2 or 3 toggles labeled "Hybrid Electric something something" that add a gauge to the bottom of the Comma that show energy use and regen. I turned those on. I can't remember if the toggles were there before the update or not.

PCBWay came back with $620 to do the design on the PCB. I think that is way too much for the design work. I'm going to keep looking on the forums and Discord for someone who can do the design. I think if we can get the design work done for free, we can get these USB Couplers with resistors made for under $50 each.

I am also working on creating a sturdier breakout board without jumpers in the meantime. It should result in a smaller foot print over the original with the headers. I am going to be making the second prototype tomorrow.

@bmwhitetx, would you happen to be willing to help design the PCB?

Yes. Out of country right now but we can discuss over DM next week.

Hey everyone, excited to find out that the comma 3x potentially works on the 24s. I have an April built 24 lighting lariat. I’ve got my 3x in my Santa Cruz currently and I’d like to move it over. After doing some reading it seems like it may be best to just buy a pre modified cable? Is anyone aware of someone selling one? I currently do not own a Ford wiring harness.

We have a PCB being built as a finalized prototype. I am sending it off to be assembled tonight, so we should have one in our hands soon.

The solution is a simple plug and play usb c connection that works with stock comma hardware. You can buy the normal Q4 harness.

this is good news. Seems like it should be a simple fix. I did order one from comma about a week ago but they are unfortunately out of stock. So I'm patiently waiting. I was pleasantly surprised to see a package at the door on Wednesday. Then a bit disappointed when I found out it was only the ODB C cable and my extra set of mounts 😂.

bp-3.1 is available in the branch switcher now or at installer.comma.ai/BluePilotDev/bp-3.1

What changed between 3.0 and 3.1?

-- Updated Agnos (base OS) to 12.1, this is supposed to have better thermal management
-- Brought back the tuning logic from staging-1.1 where you can tune PC/DC separately for straight aways and curves
-- Brought back the tuning logic form staging-1.1 where you can reduce the steering wheel angle requested in larger curves (if you are bouncing off the inside of a long curve, this is a solution)
-- Brought back tuning profiles, except they are automatic now. You will automatically get selected for CAN or CANFD based on your vehicle. You can also switch to Custom.
-- PC/DC blend ratios can now be tuned without having to enable advanced lateral control
-- Advanced lateral control logic for path_angle and path_offset is now almost identical to staging-2.1
-- new sidebar with CPU utilization and temp, GPU utilization and temp, memory utilization.

I just saw that there is a "3.1-lightning" branch in GitHub as of an hour ago. I guess I should be using that one? I had to tinker quite a bit with the regular 3.1 so that it wasn't so twitchy.

that branches just forces the lightning fingerprint. No control differences.

For those waiting for an update, the PCB's are in production and should be completed on the 24th. I should have them next week.

Once they are tested, I can start shipping them to those that need one.

I will have 9 available and can order more if there is more demand than that.

They are the same as the included adapter (USB C Female to USB C Female) and should be a direct replacement.

I’m assuming this means my canbus is encrypted. I have an April built 2024. A bunch of errors pop up on the dash steering assist fault, pre collision assist not available, service advanced track. And my Air Conditioning won’t kick in.
