I don't find Ford ACC to be particularly good.I am curious why you choose OP Long over Ford ACC.

I keep all my settings default on LCD modelSince you drive a lot, what model and settings are you using (PC blend high/low, pid gain)
Did the BP Portal from 5.0 change? Was just looking at it on 6.0.1 and all I see is the Parameters page which is a pain to navigate.
It seems to be a lot less reactive to people merging in front of you or turning. I generally use regular ACC since it likes to give random brake checks on a couple mile stretch on my normal route to work though.I am curious why you choose OP Long over Ford ACC.
The settings are in sunnylink now, so I didn't duplicate them in the bp portal.Did the BP Portal from 5.0 change? Was just looking at it on 6.0.1 and all I see is the Parameters page which is a pain to navigate.
The good news is, both versions are open source. You can port it yourself and submit a PR so everyone can enjoy it. Or, offer up a bounty to get someone else to do it.Sunnylink is ok but has a lot of clutter. It connects but didn't appear to reflect some of the values set on the device. The good thing about the BP Portal was the ability to set favorites.
It didn't get a crash report, so nothing is causing the inroad UI to not launch. Triple check all the usb plugs are tight. Mine was doing the same thing the other night and I realized the USB cable in my dock had started to deform and had shrunk back a little and it wasn't making full contact. I had to open the dock up and reposition the cable, and secure it with a little glueSidenote I updated to 6.0.1 last night after uninstalling 6.0 and it seems to be stuck on the home screen that shows your trip info. Selected 22/23 Lightning under Vehicles but no change. Reset and same behavior. Didn't have much time to mess with it this morning but will poke around more this afternoon
Can someone translate this question? Are you using ford ACC or OP long?
OP Long = Open Pilot longitudinal control - forward longitudinal control instead of side-to-side lateral control.. This is OpenPilot (or BluePilot (BP) or SunnyPilot (SP), etc...) control of adaptive cruise control. Also working towards ability to stop at red lights, stop signs, etc. Still considered "experimental".Can someone translate this question? What is "OP Long"? I assume "Open Pilot" but "Long?" What is "Long?" And "Ford ACC" is BlueCruise?
How do you "select" which one you want to use? Some of this MAY be obvious once I hook this thing up, but right now it's still on my desk waiting for warmer, 3M friendly weather. All these TLAs are messing with my head.![]()
You select OP Long in the Comma settings by toggling on "experimental mode" in the Comma, then toggling on "OpenPilot Longitudinal Control". Different versions of OP/BP/SP have similar but slightly different locations in the Comma settings. Now when you activate your cruise control, the ACC portion is controlled by Comma, not the Ford.
Quoted and added to my post for clarity in case someone searches. Thanks!Slight correction here:
You first tun on "OpenPilot Longitudinal Control" or "Alpha Long" (it depends on whether you are doing on your device or in sunnylink what the name is. I have a request to make the name consistent between the two). This gives comma control of the gas and brake, and it will operate like standard ACC. You can then turn on experimental mode, which adds stop signs and red light functionality (that works about 50% of the time).
Thank you (both) for the excellent explanation!Quoted and added to my post for clarity in case someone searches. Thanks!
Got in this afternoon and it went to driving mode but the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Reseated the comma and unplugged the cord and 90 from the dock and all is well now.It didn't get a crash report, so nothing is causing the inroad UI to not launch. by the way if you make a combo c4 dock and fitcam offset, I would buy!you still want the offset bracket, or your c4 will be all up in the middle of your FCX field of view.
it wouldn't make sense.by the way if you make a combo c4 dock and fitcam offset, I would buy!
to elaborate on my quick phone response from earlier.by the way if you make a combo c4 dock and fitcam offset, I would buy!
