Distance to destination on dash = 0kms

Hey all

Have been noticing this lately in my truck, wondering if others have as well. When you set a destination via android auto, on the main screen it is still accurately showing the distance to arrival, time to arrival, and % SOC at arrival....but on the dash, it shows a 0.00 km distance to destination.

It knows I have set a destination, as it has the little checkered flag there and the area for that distance to show below the estimated remaining range, but the distance to destination is 0kms.


Any ideas here? Anyone else have this?

Not sure exactly when this behavior changed, as it used to show up there. But in my last real trip, at no time did my android auto destination show on the range display.

It only recently showed up in gmaps but now doesn't show. It never showed for me in Waze.

Often, strange behavior like this can go away by resetting the APIM. Depending on the screen (12 inch or 15 inch screen), resetting the APIM is done by two touch screen buttons or two physical buttons and takes just seconds.

I tend to do this every month or so, and on every long trip, to clear out the APIM's cache corners.

A search here for "reset APIM" will uncover the procedures for either screen.

Mine is doing this as well. Resetting the APIM did not work nor did restarting the phone. Happy to know it's not just my '25 Flash.

It is a GoogleMaps issue. Resetting the vehicle won't do squat.

I noticed the same issue on recent road trip, the distance to destination with Ford Nav is fine but missing while using Google Maps you need to look at the center screen quickly before blue cruise catches you with averted eyes, it would be nice to have that on the IPC.

I wonder if this is a failure of android auto / Google maps integration?

It's a Google maps bug from a recent Google Maps update.

Uncheck "Auto update" (Auto update off) in the upper right menu while in the Google maps app of the play store. Then click the "uninstall" button. It will ask if you want to "delete all updates", click yes. Reboot phone when finished.

You can't uninstall GMaps unless you are running a custom version of Android, but you can delete the updates. After you delete the updates, everything will work again.

Uninstall GoogleMaps updates and turn off auto updates for that app. Find apk for prev version, and install it.
