Anyone think the TCU update was to feed the Video Streaming capability to know it's in Park? Because other than that, I have no clue what the heck Ford is talking about since YouTube is still alone up there. No cast app and no native cast on the same wifi (before TCU update, haven't checked yet), no ability to IOS carplay video stream. Anyone?

I suspect a copywriter wasn't informed that the news video feed applets were removed many months ago.

I know I posted this in the APIM update thread. .. But I am trying to follow up.. anyone that has a Platinum that has gotten this update.. can you check to see if the turn off sound is still present. THe Platinums make a power down sound. As soon as you press the start button to turn the truck off it would play.

Im trying to narrow it down if it was the gateway update or APIM. So If you have gotten the Gateway Update and not the APIM yet and have a Platinum if you wouldnt mind checking please.

Mine isnt anymore and I want to see if at least one other truck had it go away.

Thank you

I just received this update (Gateway) this morning.

Mine is not making any noise or sounds on turn off.

To be honest, now I can't remember if it did before or not.

It should make the typical sounds when you turn it on.. Then when you turn it off it would make a power down sound.

Ill try to make a video of it and post it.

I just went and checked again and mine is indeed still making that "Whoosh" sound on power off.

I kind of wish it would go away.
Ha hA>.

Well thank you for checking.. If you get the APIm update can you check again for me? I really would appreciate it..

Or if you notice it gone in the next few days.. let me know.

Now that is the sign of maturity. I still don’t know what was exactly changed but I feel a lot better about it.

What tab/tabs is the software update information under?e It looks like this is on the main vehicle page. When I look under the Software Update tab it gives me the scheduling options. However I cannot find any information on recent/past or pending updates.
When you go into the software update schedule on your app, in the bottom it will show the release notes.

I have looked in the app. In the software updates section it only allows me to schedule updates. It provides no list of updates whatsoever. I can find messages about software updates, but in the app the only ones I can find are from 2023. Online I can find a list of the updates, last one was several months ago. It would be nice if there was a user accessible list of software updates and when they were installed, plus a list of updates waiting for installation.

I have had several mornings recently where the truck has gone in to low power mode which from what I have read in the forum means the 12V battery might be failing, and that a failing 12V battery can block software updates. So many issues!

Also, why does it seem that there are so many different user experiences with the same app? People seem to have access to different tabs and functionality. It is intuitive to me that having all vehicles/apps updated (except EAP) to the same level of software/firmware and functionality would be easier to manage for Ford. But I am not an IT guy, so perhaps I don't know the whole picture.
