Has anyone encountered this issue?

This happened after charging the truck after a heavy rainstorm and I suspect some water may have gotten in the charging port causing the electrical issues.

It also caused the front driver/passenger windows to not go down, temp sensor wasn't working, a/c wouldn't turn on, and Blind Spot System Sensors were faulty.

It seems like a 12v battery problem. Check all the connections and then check the capacity of the battery.

Replacement is the very last step. Always check capacity before tossing it. I suspect people are changing them without proper testing.

Sounds like something drained the 12v or maybe it was just getting weak for a while and something pushed it over the edge.

If there was some kind of heavy drain on the 12v battery, check for rodent activity (chewed wires) down inside the battery compartment or under the truck, lots of places where the wires are easily accessible to critters (a design defect IMHO).

Could be a LV plug in the wiring got wet under the truck and shorted.

Windows not going up is sometimes a problem with the switch in the driver's side window. I have read many times about the Ford F-150s and others having water get inside the door that didn't drain out well.

Water in the door shorting out a switch could be the problem.

Water intrusion causing electrical problems or chewed wires by rodents might not be covered by B-to-B warranty unfortunately, but maybe others know for sure.

If it is water, it MIGHT fix itself when things dry out but the battery will be low I'd imagine.

You might try a battery tester that might tell you there is a short somewhere in your system, of course your truck already did I suppose.

Electrical wiring issues are a b-word to fix sometimes.

There have been other posts on the forum about electrical issues that took a long time and a lot of labor $$ to fix as I recall.

Maybe like you suspect water entered via the charge port and found it's way to the battery or some LV wiring somewhere.

I always cover my plug and charge port as best I can with plastic in case it rains overnight while charging. These things are "weather resistant" but that does not mean water tight or water proof, so in a heavy rain, bad things can happen.

PS if you see wet wiring/plugs etc, maybe using a hair dryer would help dry things out? Yes, sounds silly, but...

Any updates on this? I just got the same message. My 12V battery was at 35%. I am getting the wrench for another reason. I am not sure in my case I am getting the battery message because Ford engineers woke up the truck and downloaded something or because it was sitting there for a few days.

Did you replace your battery?

I am going to install an easy way to trickle charge my LV battery.
Going to put a cigarette lighter/accessory type outlet next to the CCS1 under the charge port cover and run it to the battery, similar to this from an old post:
