I see these BOUGE rv fridges that look good for road trips, lots of rave reviews (suspiciously so). Anyone have. One they like and recommend? Something for long road trips - not necessarily backwoods camping? Thank you fellow awesome truckers!

I have a costway 12v fridge I’ve had since covid. It’s a knock off smittybilt and it’s always been great.

I have a cheap Woods 12V cooler/fridge that I picked up last summer and have it strapped in the frunk or in the back of the cab when we go on trips. Changed my life being able to bring along things that needed steady refrigeration rather than relying on a cooler with ice packs. This will use either a 12V or 120V connection so either works for the truck. Also use it when I host/join backyard BBQs too since they take my power tools' batteries as well.

I have a Bouge RV CRD45 48QT that I bought for a roundtrip roadtrip in the Lightning from Maryland to Utah. It worked amazing. I've used it numerous times for shorter trips, too. I love the dual zone control. The app sucks, but it gets the job done.

BougeRV always has big sales (like right now) so definitely buy one now on sale if you're on the fence.

Highly recommended.

I’ve had an ICECO for years now. Same great SECOP compressor as Dometic but much cheaper. Build quality is fantastic and very cool design features across its models. Mi pro has a lid that opens bi-directionally

My daughter asked me to take her bouge rv fridge onan road trip w me to deliver some frozen food to my son who just has a baby. I had it for 8 days I came home and immediately bought one for myself . I’ve used mine now about 5x in 2 months I absolutely
Love it . I use it in my Toyota rav4 plug in . I leave the vehicle. I just leave it.”on” and lock it up . I’ve left it for like five hours and it’s only used three or 4 miles of range. I’ve yet to use it in a lightning because I don’t road trip that truck because it’s a standard range. I may be soon, but I’m not sure I wanna deal with it.

I have a Dometic drawer where my rear passenger seat was. CD30 model. I can reach into it from the driver seat.

We used a koolatron for a few years when transporting medications and food. 110 or 12v allowed us to cool it in the house before going on trips.

Not so much of a need for one now so I just use my big cooler and ice packs.

BougeRV CRPro 21Qt. It fits in the frunk, the bed, or on the floor behind the front seats. Works great.

I have the BOUGE rv cooler now for 2 years. I love it. I can fill it at home and plug it into the truck on my way to the marina, transfer it to the boat and use it all week on the boat. I can use it on either 120v or 12v which is really handy. It can be turned to Freezer mode so if we go away for a couple of weeks, we can keep our stores frozen until needed. The model I have is about 1/2" too tall for the Frunk. Miscalculated on that frunk er... I mean front.

So far, so good.

I’ve had a Bouge RV for two years. Camped for three weeks both summers. Fits perfect in the trunk. The truck stays on and locked over night. So simple a caveman could do it.

Does anyone have a problem with truck shutting off the fridge because of low load (<90 watts for 6 minutes)
