Heated Steering Wheel Retrofit PU-22G06

I figured out the problem with the auto wipers. There are four modules that must be programmed for them to work.

APIM 7D0-09-04 x3xx-xxxx-xx—
BCM 726-39-02 xxxx-xxxx-01–
IPC 720-02-02 xx8x-xx—
SCCM 724-02-01 xxxx-xC4x- —

My BCM and SCCM were incorrect from above. I just used the easy programming option in FORScan using plain language programming (look for rain sensing) and it fixed it. I think their default program option reset the two modules.

Did you notice if your “Courtesy Wipe” was also inoperable after the steering wheel heat add? Both my rain sensing and courtesy wipe are no longer working.

By doing that on your own are you still compliant with the warranty?

I visited Ford dealer on Wednesday.

Service Tech did not call me even though parts were in.

Sheesh!

He said he WAS going to call me that day though!
Uh huh... sure you were..

Anyhow, 2pm today is the appointment for install. Computer says it takes one hour.

Fingers crossed cause it was chilly this morning!

Do you have proof of that - like in an email from FMC or the dealer?
No, you can look at the FORSCAN thread for details I guess. I researched it when I had a BMW and found that you can program your own car and it will not affect the warranty unless they can prove the changes caused damage.

That seems to be about 9/10 of us getting that kind of 'service' - I was in a loaner for 16 days for 1 recall/3 CSP's & await 2 other fixes/1 CSP. Software errors can compound if not resolved correctly so it's another nuisance to keep track of.

Dealer has had truck since Friday.
Software change still not working Tuesday PM.

Emails sent from tech to mothership asking for help.

MachE I have as my loaner is nice. BlueCruise, heated steering wheel etc.

I had a Mach E Premium - too small and far less fun than the Lightning for me ;)
Ford dealers are consistently failing to provide adequate EV service so far - nationwide.

I took my Lightning in yesterday for the BCM fix, the steering wheel upgrade and the light bar fix. I received a call in the afternoon stating that BCM fix was done but they broke something replacing the light bar and they had the wrong parts for the steering wheel upgraded. I told them to put the truck back together and I would picked it up, dealer said he would call when they got the parts.

I received a call in the afternoon stating that BCM fix was done but they broke something replacing the light bar and they had the wrong parts for the steering wheel upgraded. I told them to put the truck back together and I would picked it up, dealer said he would call when they got the parts.
@Ford Motor Company of course is no help also. Similar experience here and FMC just defers to errors of the dealership.
