Driving home from my wife's bday dinner and felt/heard a bumb sensation towards the rear of vehicle. Felt like the rear motor was cut off or protecting itself. Followed by power loss and "slow down safely, service vehicle".

Cycled power and errors disappeared. However, once I started driving again the errors popped up immediately with the same bump as described before.

I received high voltage battery warning and powertrain malfunction errors.

Road assistance wasn't a bad experience. Took about 30 min once tow truck was dispatched.

Dropped vehicle off at local dealership pending diagnosis.

Sorry for the delay: they were able to diagnose and fix the next business day. It was a grounding issue, they had to remove and clean all grounds from the battery to the frame. Happy to have my vehicle back.

I am currently sitting at 52k miles and unfortunately this service wasnt covered under the warranty.

Not covered under the powertrain warranty? What was the source of the grounding issue?

These were "grounds" between the HVB frame and the truck frame? I wish they had given more details. It must involve the low voltage control and monitoring systems, but why would those circuits even need a "ground" connection to the frame....

It was good it was only a one day "repair".

I just started getting the red stop safely now light. The app said it was a high voltage battery warning and recommended turning the vehicle off and on to see if that clears it. Tried about 4 times and didn't clear so then I started clearing out the car. When I tried again the vehicle started without issue. So I then scheduled my 20k checkup on my 23 Lariat which they said I would have to schedule another appointment for the high voltage issue. Drove another day with no issues then this am warning, several tries, drove to work with the warning light. No warning light on the way home. I'm only at 2 years and 20k miles but I would be raising hell if the said this wasn't under the 100k power train warranty when the app is saying high voltage battery warning.

Happy to see a quick fix. But I think Ford owes you an explanation on why that didn't fall under the power train warranty.

The warning light seems to be a catch all for a number of problems, to include a low 12v battery. But if directly involved the HVB... Something doesn't add up.
