These are different controls, I have the knob and trailer brake controller (where the coin slot would be on low trim trucks)

Thank you. I have a lariat, ER, but I was upset at not having the 240v outlet in the back, and now this is missing. Oddly spec'd truck for sure. I got it used with 80 miles on it. It was used by Ford for 2 months (May and June 2025 even tho it was built in June of 2024) and auctioned to a dealer in July of 2025. Still very happy with the deal I got, but weird specs!

PS: also wonder what the long thin slot on the top of the middle console is for.
Doesn't hold mail very well, too thin for my phone or key FOB, hard to get coins or a pen out of...

I decided I'd use it to keep my slide rule handy for remaining range estimations...what about you?

I have a Galaxy S25 Ultra and it fits... for when I use a wired charger (on those rare, but more often than I'm comfortable with occasions when the Android Auto wireless connection fails).

Also too thin for my old Zune:

But because the Lightning USB is particular and won't play the Zune directly through the USB, I use an SSD with all my music in a USB interface/case that fits down in the front of the center console where the USB data port is located.

I can see how modern cell phones fit the slot - but everyone seems to use those dash mounts for hands-free operation, don't they?

What phone do you have that this is too thin for? My iPhone 14 Pro Max fits fine.

Kinda old, but that's where you put the laserdiscs for karaoke right?
But seriously this slot is the only reason I don't wash my pens for work more than I already do. On a side note anyone know what's up with the anemic glovebox? I think the one in my CRX was bigger.

Yeah, the top one is dedicated to napkins and utensils that are inevitably forgotten to be placed with my order. The bottom one can't even fit an owners manual, not that it came with one.

I'm convinced it's a black hole that sucks everything in. I pull out stuff that I'm convinced I never even owned all of the time. Guess I do now.

That is where my Helix Conductor resides that controls my Helix DSP Ultra, subwoofer and other things.

I found a 3d print and mag charger so I have a more convenient way to charge my phone (and see it/unlock it). Works great.
