Poll: Do you use PAAK or Key fob for daily use?

I have been using PAAK daily since I got the truck and I have recently used the key fob when I go to work as I have work keys anyways so I just put them in my pocket. I have noticed that the experience with the truck is better with the key, but it is a pain to have that giant fob in my pocket all the time. I guess I was just wondering if it is worth the hassle of carrying the key or not. What are y'all doing?

The FOB is tiny enough that it doesn’t bother me in my pocket so I use it.

Having experienced Ford’s IT with its irregular updates makes be cautious about relying on a server in Detroit to access my truck.

I have always left my keys at home unless on a roadtrip. Paak can sometimes act funny but I have never had to use the backup passcode. I do test it every once in a while to make sure it works incase I need it.

Where I work we are not allowed to bring in our cell phones, so I have to leave it locked in the truck. I could do that, then use the code to unlock the door, wait for the phone to boot and then use PAAK, but carrying the fob is just so much easier!

Not all trucks are PaaK capable. I suggest adding a third category for trucks that aren't equipped or specify in the question that it's for trucks that are so equipped.

I hate carrying keys or FOBs so I use PaaK all the time.

We have a Lightning, a 2024 F-450 and 2 Teslas

Lightning:
Primary I use iPhone as PaaK
Second option: I use the door post keypad or my Apple Watch to unlock the truck door and use either the Passcode or a Programmed FOB locked in the center Console safe in a Faraday bag to drive it.

F-450:
For the F-450 I only use it to tow the RV so I keep a programmed FOB in a Faraday bag locked in the center Console Safe. I use the door post keypad to enter the truck.

Teslas
Primary I use iPhone as a PaaK to unlock and drive
2nd option I use Apple Watch to unlock and drive
Third option I use the Tesla Credit Card key in my wallet to unlock and drive.
4th option. I call me wife and ask her to remotely unlock the Testa and start it with her iphone APP.

House
Primary I use the wireless keypad to open the garage door
2nd option: I use the keypad on the the pool bathroom door to enter the house

Cabin
Primary: I use the keypad to unlock the front door and/or Laundry room door
2nd I use the hidden key on the shed to unlock the either front or Laundry room door.

FOB ever since PaaK didn't detect my phone the first time I relied on PaaK. Passenger was not impressed at being stuck for 10 mins as I kept restarting the truck... ??

Fob. Love to see a tiny fob option 1/2 the size of a credit card. I carry no wallet or cash - just a plastic cardholder - 2 credit cards/license/blank check/insurance card.

I'm not trusting the PAAK technology just yet, it's configured, but don't rely on it exclusively, I'm also carrying around house/etc keys anyway, no problem including the FOB.

This afternoon, truck parked outside the garage while I did yard work, keys were in the house, phone in my pocket, no problem starting the truck to roll her in for the night.

But as far as leaving the property, without the FOB I feel naked and at risk of failure of PAAK if I were to rely on it alone.
