I’m one of those guys who leaves a key fob in the truck at all times. I’m assuming WAL would not work for me? I know teslas work even when you leave the credit card in the car, it’s solely based on your phone

The credit card doesn’t have active signaling so the Tesla wouldn’t even know it’s there. You can faraday bag the fob though.I’m one of those guys who leaves a key fob in the truck at all times. If only the update actually worked! Like others I received the update but no toggles in menu and when I removed the key fob to test the feature it doesn’t work. Well done again @Ford Motor CompanyThe credit card doesn’t have active signaling so the Tesla wouldn’t even know it’s there. You can faraday bag the fob though.
Even better: take the battery out and store it separately. The credit card doesn’t have active signaling so the Tesla wouldn’t even know it’s there. You can faraday bag the fob though.
Nope. Looks just like mine. It’s not showing the options for it

When you say it works, does it honk every time you walk away and it locks? It works, just doesn’t give the options for it.
No, this is a two-part update. You still another update for the BCM in order for it work. The release notes should have some kind of disclaimer saying something about this, but it does not. Either way, you got newer Sync software that most likely has other improvements built into it. Eventually, the update you need for WAL to actually work will come in.I have the toggle - but as soon as I select "enable" it goes right back to "disable". This is despite getting the announcement in the "Update details" - Maybe I need a 12V battery reset cycle?

No, WAL does not require PaaK.I don't recall if this question was answered before but do we need to have the phone as a key to benefit from the WAL?
