I love 1 pedal driving. But was curious about when it stops. It feels like the brakes engage but the Brake hold indicator is not lit. Only if you tap the brake pedal does it come on. So are the brakes actually applied when you roll to a stop? ( it feels like they are) or only if you tap the brake pedal

I believe the friction brakes are applied when the truck comes to a stop. In my observations if you are stopped in a hill with your foot off all pedals the truck remains stationary. If you apply a small amount of accelerator input the truck might actually roll backwards. I think what is happening is the friction brakes are applied until you touch the accelerator. If you don't have enough accelerator there's not enough power to overcome gravity.

- yes, one-pedal applies and HOLDS the brakes, until you release them by using the GO pedal

- the HOLD function is not needed with one-pedal driving mode, since the mode itself is already applying the brakes

- the HOLD function, in other modes, applies when the truck's brakes are applied by the driver
and the truck is at a full stop

I also love 1PD, it’s like becoming “one” with the truck. I do get in the habit of pressing the brake after I stop, if I’m in traffic. I have visions of accidentally tapping the accelerator and smashing the car in front - which I can’t do if I’m pressing on the brake…
