I would say it is a safe bet considering every other LX6Z-7P155 version has worked.Anyone know if LX6Z-7P155-X works? I think I have a line on one but the vendor is being cagey about returns if I test it to see if it’s motorized. I assumed so because of the part number but figured I’d ask here.
Confirming "-X" works - its motorized, has a light ring at the base. Rubberized texture instead of the silver ring. No error codes.I would say it is a safe bet considering every other LX6Z-7P155 version has worked.
You can always try it before messing with it too much and resale it if it doesn't.
The last digit should just be the versioning essentially.
Thats mostly going to depend on the dealer. It shouldn't be an issue if the complaint isnt related to the module.Confirming "-X" works - its motorized, has a light ring at the base. Rubberized texture instead of the silver ring. No error codes.
Question, are people swapping back to get things done (unrelated to shifter) at the dealer?
Non-Motorized Rotary Shifters
These do not auto-return to Park. Knob may rotate past Drive, depending on configuration.

The original description was due to others reporting some just set the parking brake and not shifting back to park. I figured out later on that it was likely the conditions probably weren't being met for it to shift (door opened while seatbelt unfastened). I'll change it once I'm back in front of my computer.OK, for clarification purposes since your description could be misinterpreted.
These dials/switches DO auto-return to Park, it's just that it doesn't rotate physically / mechanically to do so.
While they do rotate past Drive, it's not like it starts over at P and continues in a circle, they stop at D(rive) and you can keep rotating to the right as much as you want and it'll still remain in D(rive), same with P(ark) when turning the dial to the left.

Well, I just received a LX6P-7P155-FD and my '23 Lariat super-rejected it. I had ordered a LX6P-7P155-EH but was sent the FD. Now working on a replacement.I would say it is a safe bet considering every other LX6Z-7P155 version has worked.

A bunch of "service vehicle now" messages, along with others on the same theme. I plugged the OEM shifter back in and zero messages and the truck ran fine.Interesting. What did you see with it plugged in? Was it an OEM part?

Here's some pics of the -FD device. It came from China with no packaging other than in bubble wrap in a plain corrugated box. Kinda looks like new-old-stock.
