Sudden PAAK failure

I have used PAAK exclusively since Dec '23 on my Samsung S24 with 95% functionality. 23 Lariat ER. For the last 3 days it has been unusable unless I shut down Bluetooth, reenable, then restart fordpass. No recent updates. Fordpass 5.28 updated 2+ weeks ago. Phone updated 1 month ago. Last OTA sync 25.2.1.6.5 for 2nd time. I've rebooted phone and done 12v reset. It worked again after 12v reset for 1 use. Then back to needing Bluetooth reset.

Not that it helps solve the issue but Zero issues on Apple running IOS 26

My S24u is working well at the moment, also on 5.28.0

I have a S22 Ultra, and I've been having no luck with PaaK either. And, it's sad to say, but lately, PaaK not working has been more reliable than actually working. So, I've returned to just carrying the key fob. ๐Ÿ‘Ž

I started having the same issues on my 23 ER Lariat Paak on my s24u. I just updated ford pass also and thats when I problems started. Version 5.28.0 I had to uninstall the app and start over with reprogramimg the key. It has held up thus far but let's see for how long. Any other fixes?

Agree, after 7 months My Paak is erratic. I reset it and it helped but is still not working reliably.

Another here in the camp of sudden intermittent issues. Android app updated on Tuesday, sudden PaaK issues all week since then (no pattern I can discern, it just suddenly works way less than it use to which is usually in the 90th percentile). Plan to carry my fob for the foreseeable future until something else updates.

UPDATE: I'm going to give Ford credit (I don't know if it was really them, but I'm willing to give them the credit), I opened my FordPass app and I got a big notification across my app stating to update and reset my PaaK. It walked me through a couple of steps and POOF, PaaK is working again.

So, check your FordPass app, if you've been having issues with your PaaK.

Nothing for me as of yet, maybe it's being rolled out in waves or to specific Samsung models?
Im not sure how they are doing it, but just so you are aware, it did not show up as a normal app update. The update notification just appeared when I opened the FordPass app.

Try Log Out of the app, then Log In again, it might trip the prompt.

I just got the message this morning. Tried, but no luck. I had to delete the old key, and apparently the new key downloaded, and the app tried to connect to the truck, but couldn't? I tried a wired connection, with a usb cable. What does "connect" mean? Android auto is working, so the phone is connected, but what needs to be paired that isn't getting paired? It does say to park in an open space, and I'm in the middle of a parking lot, so it can't be that. Note - PaaK has worked very well for me up until this morning.
Wouldn't it be great if Ford anted up for some tech support?
One other note: I just received an email stating: "Phone as a Key and Backup Start Passcode were successfully removed from your 2024 F-150. Drivers are no longer able to utilize this backup start passcode to enter or start the vehicle. A key fob or an active Phone as a Key device is required for vehicle entry and to start this vehicle."
