I'm not sure if this has already been discussed before (and the topic is probably polarizing), but has anyone looked into an electronic exhaust system for their truck? Like THOR EV ⚡ electronic exhaust system for electric vehicles (thor-tuning.com).

I had one of my classic sports cars converted to EV a couple of years ago (and it is really fantastic) and am now looking seriously at adding the Thor system to it. And so this got me wondering if it might be a fun and unusual mod for my Lightning.

I'll go hide under my desk now, while you all get out your flamethrowers... :)

You might wait for the diesel fume and coal-rolling add-ons, and ask for a bundle deal. 😂

I don't think its a bad idea but last time I looked the prices were unreasonably high.

Personally I just want an external speaker system that I can pipe whatever I want to it.

For your classic conversation, it makes sense but for my Lightning, it reminds me of opening of Annie Hall:

‘’The food in this restaurant is terrible“
”yeh, and the portions are so small”

I finally found a truck that is quiet enough.

All the non-engine sounds are so dorky, I freaking love it. I don't see the ability to buy direct, but searching on google shows the lowest price around $1300 US, which is a bit much for a joke. I'm not sure what price I would pay to have my truck make arcade noises but it's a lot less than that. It's nice there are so many options though, and the ability to turn it off when you want silence.

I would love something similar for the sake of the wildlife (deer, etc) that I note don't hear this truck, or move for it the way they did for the HEMIs and Cummins in my experience... I also think this price is pretty absurd for what it accomplishes, and reached out for a better deal. <crickets> Still waiting... someone will make something similar and cheaper before long. Not for everyone, but a measure of safety I'd appreciate in my neck of the literal woods. I'd probably only use the sound when there aren't any people to hear it, just me and Bambi.

For the right price I’d do it. Make some silly sounds, maybe upload a 911 GT3 exhaust or something. For $1,300+? I’ll just make the noises myself.
Just get a clothespin and some playing cards on your brake caliper:

Not for me. I love the ‘silent running’ I get with Lightning. But hey, do whatever floats your boat.

"Classic sports car" converted to electric? You buried the lede. Details please! Photos or it didn't happen.😆

I am very skeptical that any speaker would do anything to dissuade deer. In my experience are oblivious to everything. I'm not saying don't make your truck sound like a V10 F1 car - you do you - but I think you'll be disappointed if you think it would do anything for wildlife.

Agree. I live in deer country and the only vehicle I hit more than one with was a CJ 5 with straight pipes.
You can buy a lot of Viagra for $1300 if you need to compensate! 😂
