You might check if the NOCO *thinks* the battery is charged, will it then actually turn off and then periodically check. I have a Clore with this "smart" technology and disappointed it actually turns off at full charge. These smart types are more useful for long-term storage (months) IMHO. Battery Tender Jr. is a good model that has a true float mode after charging.

I have better luck doing the following:
1. Turn the truck on and disable 30-minute timer, HVAC, radio etc. Let it run 6+ hours in the evening.
2. At the same time have it on a float charger (puts out a constant 13.6ish volts, not smart).
3. Make sure you disconnected all OBD dongles, dashcams, etc. Frunk is closed.
Then let it attempt the update overnight.

FYI, in your pic, it looks like you disconnected the truck's 6mm nuts to put the NOCO ring terminals on. A better idea is to get another set of 6mm nuts and put them on top of the existing nuts with the ring terminal between them. Saves you from actually disconnecting the battery each time.

Thanks for the additional 6mm idea. Seems like it’s truck issue. OBD/Car Scanner is reporting 100% charged after being connected to the Noco but it’s still failing within 90 seconds of starting the update multiple times.

This one has given many of us problems. Good example here. You might try running the truck for several hours. Also, I have had better success with the scheduled 1am update rather than an Update Now.

Another thing to consider is your proximity to the truck with your phone and FOB, any interrogations with the truck, app-refreshes, actions, triggers of lock/unlock passively might be causing an interrupt.

In the past, when I'm waiting for an update to post, I keep my FOB far away from the truck and force stop the Ford App until the update process has completed, many times I've had success with this dance.

I generally concur. But I find that I just need to lock the truck and make sure the fob stays put. It doesn’t seem to matter if it’s close to the truck as long as it doesn’t move in and out of range.

I use acorn nuts for this. Had them laying around, and they work very well as "topper nuts".
