ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I went through the PMI process on mine and it got rid of that DTC. I was lucky and it only took one time, others had to do it multiple times.

Same for me, one PMI and it's cleared. I'm currently doing the BC updates, CCM done, PSCM ongoing.


On a side note, why in the hell to the wipers activate while it's updating the modules? It's so damn weird.

Deactivate rain sensing in SYNC->General section, also make sure the rain sense switch (on stalk) is off.

Has anyone doing the latest APIM updates had the Glare Free lighting Forscan changes enabled? Did it cause a problem? Wondering if I need to reset my APIM values back to original before doing the latest updates. Thanks

You will not be able to do the CCM with the nano

do we know why? Or has anyone tried in the last few days?
I’ve been following this thread since the beginning, and there have been issues on other modules to, where updates were corrected by Ford and they subsequently worked.

I had them enabled and no issues with the update, but I no longer have any of my Forscan changes including glare free. I will just redo them in a couple of days.

The theory of the experts, and they ARE the experts on these things, is the nano doesn't communicate well on the specific bus that the CCM is on.
Believe me when I say I was committed to the nano. I didn't mind that it was a little cantankerous at times and often required me to just be tenacious with it until it accomplished the task at hand. And I DID overcome EVERY challenge up until the CCM update.

That's a very unique update in regards to the network it uses. (from what I understand) And it proved to be the first obstacle that regardless of my determination, the nano was never going to accomplish it.

I know that sucks to hear. I didn't like it either.

IMO, I would revert back to defaults.

The Nano is a much slower device and has issues communicating over the FD-CAN bus...

So I'm a little behind on this, looking to catch up. I have a job 1 truck awaiting BlueCruise as well, but don't own an FDRS device. Do I need to buy one and a license to get this BC update going? Are they still planning on doing this OTA at a later date? Or maybe give the option of taking into a dealer for them to do it?

I know the IPMA is a beast, but the Camera module is no joke either. I wonder if the module shipped essentially blank since it wasn't being used because it's written a shit ton of blocks.

Mine do that also. I always lift them up .. and lower the hood especially for the ipma that takes so long

I don’t know if you leave them off before starting will help. I leave them in the first position

I had mine off and it doesn't make any difference. FYI, I decided to do the CANBUS update on the GWM... moving along nicely.
