The other day I was headed out on a drive, was just about to get on the highway when I looked down at the instrument panel and saw the tailgate ajar indicator. There was no accompanying pop up warning. I was obviously concerned and pulled over to check my tailgate, worried that my stuff might have slidden out the back. But not only was nothing missing, the tailgate was still closed and secured.
So I pushed the release button to open it and it started to soft drop about 2/3 the way down before abruptly dropping open. Then when I tried to push the button to have it automatically close, nothing happened. I manually closed the tailgate and checked the dash to see the warning light gone. After this the power tailgate appeared to function normally.
Has anyone else had this problem? I also had an instance when the tailgate seemed to open on its own while I was sitting parked in a parking lot. This seems to only have started after the 4.1.2 update.
