I hope beta testing overall is going well, that the build is acceptable and no minor wish list items slow down final validation and allow for release to the general population.

I’ve got about a thousand miles on it so far and I have nothing really spectacular to report…so that’s good news. I’ve pretty much forgotten it was an update.

Glad to hear this, then let the slo-roll continue, but it would be good if they prioritize by model year to give those of us approaching the cusp of the 3 year trial ending a shot at using the latest to make a rational decision about buying an extension.

Can someone tell me when or if I will get the Bluecruise 1.4 update? Or maybe who to contact to ask?

Unfortunately you and I and the rest of the forum are asking these same question. The closest we can get from Ford is it is coming. Similar to you, I haven't received an update since the 10.1.1 update in October, so we're in the same boat as is most of the forum.

There are a few on the forum that have received BC 1.4 and will likely chime in.

Unfortunately you and I and the rest of the forum are asking these same question. The closest we can get from Ford is it is coming. Similar to you, I haven't received an update since the 10.1.1 update in October, so we're in the same boat as is most of the forum.

There are a few on the forum that have received BC 1.4 and will likely chime in.

none of the updates since the trucks release have knocked your boots off. Sure they added some niceties.
the only meaningful update would have been some wizardry that improves efficiency by greater than 5%. That ain’t happening with the bricks we drive into the wind.

I bought a 2023 based on my sales person and a video of a Ford Engineer saying that we would all get an update to pro-power with truck off. Still hasn't happened for me and we're in 2025. My issue is with all the promises, lack of communication, and missing updates. I wouldn't have an issue waiting for BC1.4, if the promised 1.2 was released, followed by the 1.3 release. Why are so many trucks on different versions, yet mine is on v1.0. It's a confusing mess.

No, the truck is miles away from "awesome".

The truck portion of the Lighting is perfectly fine. The power, the range, the durability, the ride, the ability to do "truck" things is completely what was advertised and what I expected.

The support and software portions of the Lightning are a complete disappointment. The only thing that has been added since I bought my truck is Caraoke. A feature that is unneeded and nothing but a distraction. Just giving us bread and circuses.

BlueCruise is a parlor trick that is poorly executed. Nothing but TACC with Lane Keeping Assist, just buggy. They could make it something, but alas they can't seem to pull together even minor usability updates.

Software updates are a joke with repeated failures and even having to go through the hassle of scheduling a service visit weeks in advance to take the vehicle in to the dealer to install them.

Some functions in the truck are unreliable and/or inadequate and Ford doesn't care. The app and navigation are examples. Other issues include being able to get basic support from dealerships for things like the OEM brake controller. Take it to the dealership and they say it's a Ford issue, contact Ford and they tell you the dealer will fix it. No one will take accountability and no resolution comes.

The reality setting in is that Ford is up to its same old tricks. Entice you to purchase a premium vehicle with lots of promises and once they have your cash, the promises are forgotten. They put all of their efforts to improve the vehicle into the new model year.

Am I going to dump my Lighting and go buy a Rivian or CyberTruck? No, but mostly because they aren't real trucks, they are toys and there is no real EV truck available in the market.

If I could do it all over again, would I buy the Lightning again? Knowing how Ford would support us, no.

I Finally got 10.1.1 Feb 12th. Hoping to get BC 1.4 next.
still haven't obtained/made the Lightning cable for Comma.ai to work but it's amazing on our RAV4

Just saw on the Reddit forum that Ford is giving 22 and 23 owners an extra year of BC for free
Go to connected services - blue cruise - click on purchase - scroll down thru the options to the one free year. Click on it and then purchase!
thank you Ford. Hopefully by then we will all have the updated BC1.4

Just did this. Still waiting for it to reflect the extra year extension on my connected services screen….it did show the 1 year extension on the purchase for $0 screen however.
