So when tent camping with my truck, we only use phone chargers, and an electric blanket overnight. It’s not enough to keep the inverter running and it will power off even though it’s set to run till it hits 15%. I have the option set to run while the truck is off. Can you disable it shutting down with too light of a load in Forscan?

No.

The solution is to put a load on it that is enough to keep it running.

No, it’s just stupid. The truck offers “keep on until #% charge reached“. But then it shuts off before the designated value put in by the driver ???? Why Ford? Efficiency? So we are forced to keep our trucks on all night using significantly more power than just the inverter. Ford should fix this so the truck works as expected.

It has been requested, but at least for the moment, the two options are to leave the truck on all night (turn climate control and stereo off, and set displays to calm screen), or to use a short interval timer and a load (which uses far less total power than leaving the tuck on). I sleep with a CPAP that draws far less than is required to keep the inverter on. On my trip a couple weeks ago I left the truck on for the two nights where I needed to use the truck for power. After that I bought the short interval timer and heater. Used that a couple nights ago and it worked perfectly.

I recommend to not blindly use AI values. I suggest learning the spreadsheet and how it works. Then double check anything AI or an ICE truck owner/forum tells you.

For example, the IPC line above is for a mod that disables the vehicle shutdown timer, not Pro Power. The truck will turn off after 30 minutes if left on. But we’re talking about Pro Power with truck off. And the F to 7 is not the only possible change, depends on your truck. It’s on my Forscan mods thread (see sig for link).

The BCM line looks promising, and should be investigated If it hasn’t already.

100% ^^^.

WHY force owners to use more power than necessary? Why?

Because some needle brain nitwit engineer convinced the powers that be it's safety related?

I also agree this shouldn't even be an issue. In the mean time, there is a workaround.

Using the intermittent timer, can you plug it and the heater into the frunk but have your main load be on the bed inverter? Or do they both need to be on the same inverter to keep it from timing out?

Which timer and heater did you use for your set up?

I apologize if this has been covered previously and I missed it - but how often does the load need to be applied? How large a load? And is there a specific duration, or just _any_ momentary load to the minimum value?

I set mine for 2 secs on time every 5 mins. Minimum load is currently believed to be 90W.

These are mentioned frequently:

Heater - https://amzn.to/47adlP9

Timer - https://amzn.to/49jEDE3
I'm using a different heater that was referenced in various threads:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005Q1APZS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

That timer is really slick.

And is there a specific duration, or just _any_ momentary load to the minimum value?
With the heater I am using, one second on, and 220 seconds off. I had tested that starting in 1 minute intervals, then 10 second intervals until it would reliably stay on. I really wanted to keep it to 1 second on time to prevent the heater from getting at all hot. Although I expect in most situations, I will have it in the bed, so overheating something should not be a problem, it just seemed like a good idea.

Using the intermittent timer, can you plug it and the heater into the frunk but have your main load be on the bed inverter? Or do they both need to be on the same inverter to keep it from timing out?
I am plugging it into a bed outlet largely because that is also where I need to power stuff. I did notice that the cabin outlets also stayed on overnight on Friday night when I was camping.
