Recently purchased a 2025 Platinum with the added Dark Elment package. This is the truck I've been waiting for since the inception of the Lightning. It's difficult to explain how a truck owner can live with white leather seats but I digress. Now to the petty part. This is a top tier fully loaded F-150 pickup truck priced at $85,000. Knowing this, Ford has elected to remove the homelink buttons from the sun visor as well as removing the two lights at the rear of the running board. Ford is also asking me to pay $600 for a level 1 charger and Tesla adapter. I love my truck, but this seems like penny pinching at a high level.

You might be right, be we also have some high expectations, REGARDLESS of the price-point of the vehicle - no one purchasing a PRO SR, like me, expects anything less, even at $ 39.974 ...

as to "$600 for a level 1 charger and Tesla adapter"... I only imagine that price is for the FORD Level 2 with optional Level 1 Charging Adapters MOBILE EVSE, and if the NACS Adapter is included at the same pricing, it's not overly expensive compared to street-priced options found elsewhere.

The HomeLink and Level 1 charger should certainly be included, lame that they are not. The Tesla adapter is reasonable to charge for, and there are plenty on the open market so you don't need to buy from Ford.

You certainly don't have to purchase any EVSE from Ford, even if us original owners received one or both of those included in the original MSRP... I actually use a Max-Green ADJUSTABLE 10/12/20/24/30 240v Charger for my everyday charging for our LIGHTNING and EV9... and carry my Ford 240v 30a EVSE, with Level 1 120v adapter, in the Frunk, just in case...
I also have the NACS Adapter Ford provided, free, later, and use that in my LIGHTNING, and use the purchased Lectron NACS Adapter I acquired before the Ford adapter arrived, for our EV9.

My 2024 Platinum came with the mobile charger but not homelink. I was slightly aggravated at that as well. To be honest, homelink on my previous Ford trucks never worked that well. Very poor range. I used my clip on opener on my 2024 and had the same issue. In contrast, my wife’s Audi can open the door from half down our 225ft driveway without fail. I was lucky to get a reliable open/close within 25ft of the door. I think there is something about the way Ford makes their trucks, maybe something in the glass, that attenuates the signal.

I installed a smart opener onto my existing Chamberlain and it is FAR superior. Three wires and power was all it needed to install. It took 10 minutes. Now the garage door pops up on my carplay screen whenever I am within about a half mile from my home. And it tells me the status. So if I am at the grocery store and see that its open, I can close it and get confirmation. I believe Android Auto does the same.

It doesn’t mitigate your concern, but maybe your aggravation.

Perfectly happy NOT to have had to pay for (if included) Homelink. Don't have a use for it.

Yep lots of threads on this. The Lightning in general nearly bled Ford dry. So as the model years went on, they removed a LOT of standard and optional content without lowering the price to try and make up for at least a little of what they were losing. For example, half-way through the '25 model year the Flash lost the door entry keypad, rear locking differential, tailgate step, and wireless phone charger. All of which are things I would have used regularly. I didn't realize some of this until after I got mine in the summer.

The lack of Homelink buttons is just mind boggling. Even cheap base model cars all have that these days. I too would use those on a daily basis if I had them.

Homelink can be added to your visor, if you have lighted mirrors, for under $40.

The charger is a piece of garbage.

Not petty the all. The one thing that really irritated me after ordering day one was the deletes. Little stuff but not what I ordered for $64000.

Homelink should just disappear completely, forever.

The Ford mobile evse is level 1 and 2, it can be deleted for a credit.

I love how they removed things that are on my wave 3 window sticker like spare tire lock.

Exactly. And then acted like they didn’t.
