Spot on, 100w minimum kills it for me, I always leave the truck on.Brian is great. Ford however, is not. This update taking 4+ years is crazy, I mean the truck has already been discontinued, lol come on now. They don't get a pat on the back for something that could have been coded and pushed out in a week.
I'll be leaving my truck on anyway because of the auto shut off. When I'm tailgating, cheap LED TV's are so efficient nowadays that they don't even use 100w anymore. I have no interest in carrying around a space heater and timer everywhere I go. I just shut off all the lights and leave the vehicle on.

Not an issue for me with PPOB since I have a 24, but yes on other times that I leave the truck on (usually to keep the AC running), it is annoying to be 100 feet from the truck and have the phone ring and realize that the audio is routing to the truck.I know that it's a small thing, but it will be nice to not have the truck constantly highjacking my phone when I am using ProPower on board.
Just not a big deal. I bought the short interval timer and 100W heater before my second overnight trip where I needed to power my CPAP from the inverter. They just live in the lower section of the frunk along with the Ford Mobile Charge Cord and a 50 foot extension cord. Yes, it's a work around, but it's easy enough to do. If using the PPOB while the truck is off, and the 12V battery drops, it would seem necessary to keep a maintainer on the 12V battery. Perhaps the 12V charger could be kept in the frunk, plugged in with the frunk closed, if its draw was less than the 150Watt limit when the frunk is closed. A 2Amp draw at 12V is only 24Watts, so just a small unit like a Deltran or other battery tender would work. I was thinking that plugging in a maintainer while using PPOB Would be a good idea. What combination of accessories would get you up to 100w … maintainer plus fridge plus phone battery charger plus …?I think the concern might be the 12v battery drain as well as the HVB if you are not using the PPOB but leave it on accidentally. The design might be assuming you forgot to shut it off and may leave it on for a long time which could deplete the batteries.
The DC-AC converter uses some HVB energy when ever it is ON even if not powering a load.
Like the POWER DOWN TIMER it may be to protect the 12v battery as well.
The minimum wattage requirement rational could be/is probably another way to ensure the batteries are not drained 'inadvertently' because you left PPOB ON when not using it?
Running PPOB does require some 12v battery use - the 12v battery is involved in keeping the contactors closed to connect the HVB to the DC-AC innverter(s), and communicate with the app etc.

ALSO NOTE:
Some owners have had the PPOB turn off prematurely and abruptly with no warning when the 12v battery got 'low' even when running PPOB with the truck ON.
By prematurely, I mean BEFORE it reached the set reserve. And by abruptly I mena there was no warning message issued to the FORD app.
Running the PPOB with the truck OFF could have the same effect of draining the 12v battery and causing a premature abrupt shut down.
The solution that eliminated the 'low'12v battery issue one owner was having was to keep it on a maintainer while running PPOB.

It seems the truck might go into into 'battery saver mode' and off-loaded the PPOB function. Like the other owner, I did not notice any warning message on the FORD app.
Another glitch that was noticed with the PPOB was that turning on the climate with the FORD app caused the PPOB to shut down abruptly, whether the truck was ON or OFF.
I accidentally touched Climate on the FORD app screen while running PPOB and it shut PPOB off.
I have no theory as to why turning on the climate with the FORD app shut off PPOB. I did notice that the heated seat was in the full on high setting when the climate came on despite the fact I never used it that high...maybe that was involved somehow.
The FORD team had me run several experiments over the last few weeks to demonstrate the above PPOB issues to collect data from my truck so they could work on understanding what is happening and maybe find a fix.

I have a '23 XLT with the smaller screen and I found out I got it when I got in the truck this morning, so it must have been sometime last night.@Ford Motor Company, is this also rolling out to XLT and Pro Lightnings with the other Sync (smaller screen) system?

Yes, it could be in the Frunk and tend the battery using PPOB...I haven't tried it but I remember there was one owner who did.Still wonder if small <2Amp battery tender in frunk would be ok, no leads going out the side of the truck! Plus the timer/heater setup to activater ~5 seconds every ~5 minutes. Hopefully there is a small heater <100Watts that would allow that to be in the frunk as well.
