This may be the wrong section but I could not find a "getting started with charging" guide anywhere so I thought I would ask here. Now that my delivery is about 2 weeks out 9 (according to Ford), I wanted to get ready and be prepared for how to charge my new truck. I have not received the charging cable although I did get a call asking to verify my address. Since I will not be able to charge it at home initially, what do you recommend I should do as far as download apps or set up accounts? I just downloaded the Fordpass app so that's a start. Any suggestions what to do to prepare for my new truck as far as charging is concerned? Thanks for any advice.

You’ll get a mobile charger with the truck that should work with both 110 and 240volt. If you’re going with the Sunrun system (power backup) I’d contact them. Otherwise, I’d make sure that I have a 240 volt outlet in my garage. In the short term, a dryer outlet near garage could work (if you don’t try do both charging and dryer at the same time). Best bet is to get the specs of the Ford charger (I believe extended range trims get it sent to them later, but specs for this and the included mobile charger are on the web) and get an electrician to install the circuit in a spot that will be convenient for you to charge without hopefully tripping over the cord all the time. Existing 110 outlets will also work, but be really slow (several days).

Thanks, I will check the specs and get a 240 prepared. In the meantime I guess EA chargers for me! Merry Christmas.

I got an email from Sunrun with a link to verify my address about 5 days (I’ve had the truck 12 days thus far) after taking delivery of my truck, but haven’t gotten any shipping notification yet. Burning through my EA 250kwh and want to see if others are in the same boat. Thanks

Just got my Ford "complete purchase" email and status changed from shipping to delivered. Have not got a call from my dealer yet.

Hoping for a smooth 2000 mile road trip back home tomorrow so to complete all this on the second to last or last day l of the year. Cutting it close, hope it makes it to the dealer by then.
