It’s on the road!

Help me remember - are you rail or convoy? and is your truck giving periodic updates? I anticipated it would only give it's location if a door was opened or it was started, etc. Either way it is cool to know it is on the road and checked in at least once.

I wasn’t sure but looks like convoy since Louisville is a straight shot down from Detroit.
Someone accepted my activation request so I’ve been able to track it for a while. Sometimes it doesn’t report anything for a day or 2, but right now I can refresh the app and it seems to update every couple of hours.

My truck has been sitting next to the train tracks waiting to be loaded for the last 10 days. I can see its location on Ford Pass. I dropped by my dealer today. He indicated that there was an embargo on train shipments of trucks to California. https://www.bnsf.com/news-media/cus...-of-certain-shipments-destined-for-california

He thought my truck wouldn't be loaded until at the earliest - 1 August.

He did have an XLT to test drive. It was nice. Fast, quiet, supple. I could feel some slop/body roll in changing direction. Overall, I cant wait.

They also had a Platinum that was ordered but then declined by a customer.

Interesting for sure. Michigan is not listed, is Salem, IL the interchange from Canadian to BNSF as well as to UP? Or does BNSF interchange somewhere else?

You need to get the railcar number from Ford (Chat/Call) or from your dealer. Depending on what company it is, you can track that railcar.

Thanks for the info but it's no longer necessary. Just found that the truck is Pending Pickup per the United Road website. Getting a little excited.

Depending on where your dealer is, they will be slow. Another forum member has been waiting 10+ Days for his vehicle.

Lets hope that the shippers are all hard at work today. I just checked the Canadian order tracker and my dates of delivery betweem 7/26 & 8/1 seem to holding steady.

All Trackers say Delivered today. Now I regret picking a dealer an hour and a half away. I can't just pop in. This is the 3rd truck from them so I hope they stay good to me.
