I don’t think I have even seen three Silverado’s out in the wild yet!
I see more and more Lightnings all the time and have even seen a few new model ys and of course it’s hard to miss the cyber truck.
I had the misfortune of renting a Silverado WT EV in Vegas for the weekend in March.

While driving to Laughlin, the Stop Safely Now / HVB Fault came on out in the middle of the desert. Trying to explain that we might have HVB battery issues while in the desert to my wife, sister in law and brother in law (who is a diesel guy) was a lot of fun.

I had brought my A2Z Typhoon Pro adapter to charge at Superchargers, but it would always fault at different stations. L2 charging was fine however. I think the truck needed an update to recognize the adapter/work at Superchargers as A2Z's website says it should be compatible.

The Silverado has no ignition button and a similar stalk drive/reverse style as Tesla's. No traditional gear shifter. So you get in and the truck starts when you press the brake. To turn off, you unbuckle your seatbelt and get out of the seat. It knows to turn off the truck then.

So many obnoxiously loud, long-duration chimes during startup makes the Lightning startup chimes sound completely silent in comparison. To try and stop pissing everyone off with the sounds, I buckled my seat belt before pressing the brake , tried turning the chimes down/off with volume knob while the chimes were going off but no luck.

A couple of positives is that it has an 8 bolt lug and the rental company did not charge me for bringing it back with only 20 miles left as I explained the charging / HVB battery issues.

That Silverado WT EV was not ready for prime time. I was missing my Lightning to say the least.

Didn't know Chevy copied Ford on their power train / software development.

PDX Supercharger at Portland (Cascade Station). Two Tesla sedans are charging. I pull in, hook the adapter up, off and running. One Tesla leaves and a Lightning pulls in and hooks up then another Mach E shows up and connects. Another Tesla sedan leaves, another shows up. That’s like 50:50 Ford V. Tesla.

PS, I can’t tell the difference between Tesla models.. the ones I saw were all grey-black & dirty. One looked like the driver was either living out of it or had all possessions stored in it. The weirdest experience.
What was the point?

Husband went to the sheriff's department to report that his wife was missing.
Husband: My wife is missing. She went shopping yesterday and has not come home...
Sergeant: What is her height?
Husband: Gee, I'm not sure. A little over five-feet tall.
Sergeant: Weight?
Husband: Don't know. Not slim, not really fat.
Sergeant: Color of eyes?
Husband: Sort of brown I think. Never really noticed.
Sergeant: Color of hair?
Husband: Changes a couple times a year. Maybe dark brown now. I can’t remember.
Sergeant: What was she wearing?
Husband: Could have been pants, or maybe a skirt or shorts. I don't know exactly.
Sergeant: What kind of car did she go in?
Husband: She went in my truck.
Sergeant: What kind of truck was it?
Husband: A 2023 Ford Lightning Lariat Extended Range Antimatter Blue, special ordered with Tow Technology Package and power running boards. It has a Backflip Revolver bed cover over an aftermarket LineX bedliner. Weathertech rubber floor liners. Custom 20% Ceramic tint on the front windows, and 30% on the rears and sides. Front grille is wrapped in gloss black. Overpriced Motorsports front beeper delete. Tremor wheels wrapped in BFG KO3 tires and an Eibach Pro Suspension kit set +2.5" in the front to even out the rake. On the back, there 3D printed wire nuts that look like a set of truck-testees.
At this point the husband started choking up.
Sergeant: Don't worry buddy. We'll find your truck.

I asked AI to take the challenge of completing the joke. Here’s what I received: A Tesla and a Mach-E pull into a charging station. The Tesla says, “Watts up?” The Mach-E replied, “Nothing much, just getting amped up for the drive ahead.” AI still has a long way to go.

AI needs to stick with it's corporate job.
